South Sudanese students in Kenya on Tuesday evening held a candle lighting at Daystar University, Athi River campus for South Sudanese Student Biem Mabek Lang who was shot dead by unidentified men on Friday night at 10pm near the school premise.

Biem, a first-year computer science student was murdered in cold blood by men in masks at his business shop to support his education.

According to details posted by the school's international student association page, the culprits are yet to be arrested by the police.

Biem was the son of Miabek Lang, the former deputy governor of Unity State from 2013 to 2015.

The SPLM chairpersons (Governors) of the Greater Bahr el Ghazal States (Bahr el Ghazal Region) have slated a mass political rally in Wau. The rally shall endorse incumbent President Salva Kiir Mayardit as SPLM flag bearer for the 2024 general elections.

Tomorrow President Kiir and the ruling SPLM high ranking leaders shall attend the rally in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State.
