Weeks after a state district judge admonished the El Paso district attorney for not filing any motions in the Walmart shooting case even though she wants the case to go to trial next year, her office filed a handful of motions Friday. These include notice of the addition of two new state prosecutors on the case, both of whom were brought in from out of town: Monica Barron Auger and Adaeze Ada Nwaneri, who previously worked in the Rio Grande Valley and West Texas, respectively....

City Of El Paso Hosted a active shooting drill and school supplies

The group hosted a 3-K walk or run event on Saturday.

It was held at Marty Robbins Park (11600 Vista Del Sol) from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The event began with a 3K Walk/Run for families through the park followed by a backpack giveaway, which was available on a first-come, first-served basis to school-aged children.

TABC suspends East El Paso bar’s liquor licensed

EL PASO, Texas ( Good Day News ) — The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) issued a liquor permit suspension to a popular but troubled East El Paso bar following a years-long investigation into narcotics sales allegations.

Ciro’s Bar & Kitchen East, located at 1610 N. Zaragoza Road near Vista Del Sol, may not serve alcohol for 90 days following the suspension issued late Thursday. The TABC says they have the authority to issue suspensions if the business’s continued operations are deemed a “risk to public safety.”
