MKB Independent radio is a new independent online licensed radio station based in Scotland UK. The station is sponsored by listeners and independent artists worldwide who's kind donations cover annual running costs by making donations our sponsors cover the cost of the licences ,Website hosting, Stream costs and website maintenance and the growth and development of the station

MKB Independent Radio is managed by Independent artist Mary Kathleen Burke and mainly supports music in the genres of Country,Americana,Celtic,Folk Easy listening 50’s 60’s 70’s and 80’s music and singer songwriters. We have diversified with some shows offering other genres including Western Music , Western swing , Light Rock we even have a Big Band and crooners show check out our shows on the website

Mary Kathleen Burke first began in Radio in 2008 presenting a very popular show at Celtic Music Radio in Glasgow Scotland, alongside her music commitments as a Singer/Songwriter and Recording artist. Mary Kathleen left Celtic Music Radio early 2018 after ten years and set up her show and continued on to syndicate her radio show which goes out to several other stations worldwide weekly.Mary Kathleen also matches up her presenters with other stations worldwide bringing them an audience much further afield

Mary Kathleen is highly respected in the radio world by her peers and fellow artists for always going that extra mile to promote independent talent and is known to many media companies and record labels worldwide. She is also an official reporter to two major Charts

The station is a continuation of Mary Kathleen’s contribution to radio and a testament to her popularity with her listeners accumulated over twelve years.

The Music will be of the highest calibre and will offer a variety of Country, Celtic, Folk and more. All sponsors of this new radio station are listed on The Radio Station Website . Since launching we have developed our growth and have accumulated over 23,000 visitors to our site and have a staff of 15 presenters check out all our shows and presenting team
