The 2023 The Project Fibonacci Foundation STEAM Leadership Conference focuses on the theme of adapting to climate change and sustainability as it applies to protecting the planet, its oceans, and the global population.

Ginger Zee, from GMA and ABC News, spoke to a n audience at RFA on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 that was comprised of several students attending the Conference and audience members who attended the free event.

Student and attendee Emma Watson-not the Harry Potter actress-had a chance to ask Ginger Zee a climate change question at RFA prior to the auditorium presentation.

SummerStage Auditions are underway. Last year there was only one SummerStage show. This year there will be two shows: Fiddler on the Roof, July 13 through 16 and The Little Mermaid, August 3 through 5.

Friday, June 16, 2023 is Juneteenth, recognized on Monday as a Federal Holiday. The Rome Branch of the NAACP and the City of Rome, along with several area organizations, are celebrating with a three day event at Bellamy Harbor Park.. Kicking off the three day celebration is The Brownskin Band. Band leader Nate Brown talks about the SAMMY award winning band and it's 15 years entertaining audiences in central New York.

I went to a recent event they held at Superofficial cafe in Rome and found that the event is rather uplifting, and dare might I say, fun; a word not usually associated with death!

DOING NOTHING SPECIAL?!?!? superoffical is having its first anniversary on Saturday, April 22nd (Earth Day-by coincidence). By “coincidence” he also had a special 420 party on Thursday, April 20th. Funny thing is, too many coincidences can’t be a coincidence!
His “coincidental” anniversary on April 22 has afforded him with the opportunity to hawk his environmentally friendly Huskee® cup exchange system; all the while pretending to do “nothing special”. I guess Mr. long-last-name doesn’t think that respecting the Earth is important or special!
In protest, I have had my last latte at superofficial and, I am burning my Huskee® cup!
