Yes I’m posting a selfie with a Snapchat filter. Please don’t judge me… however I’ve been reflecting on my life a lot lately and I’ve realized for the first time, in what seems like forever, I’m actually happy.

I have a great job, great friends, an amazing and supportive boyfriend, Queen Pp (and probably another cat soon), and I’m moving into a new place and living on my own without roommates for the first time EVER. Things are looking good!
•
Hopefully soon we’ll get back into the studio so we can get more podcast episodes out for you all. I’m sorry I’ve been gone for so long BUT as you probably know life has been crazy!

Alright so as we all know I have been struggling a lot lately with my mental health (what’s new tho, right?) It’s been a struggle event getting to Darren’s to record a podcast episode. Hopefully this week we will get back on track with recording so we can get you a new episode next week Friday (4-8)
•
In other news, we are going to start selling merch sometime soon. I’m trying to pick one design so start with and then eventually we’ll start offering more! Right now I only have plans for T-shirt’s but maybe we can do hoodies or something in the future!
•
Also I scrapped the short film for now BUT I started writing my book. I have been inspired and needed to get it on the page. I have no idea when that will be done but hopefully within the next year 🤷🏻‍♀️
•
I would like to know from my followers if we should start a SadGirl Patreon account. I’ve been really thinking about it lately because I have some very unhinged things I want to put out there but I’m not sure if YouTube is the place for that.
•

Today is one of the better days I’ve had in a long time.

The spring air here in Wisconsin is hitting me a little hard (my seasonal depression always hits in the spring and fall) but I’ve been pushing through and making the best of the nice weather!

Today I’m not feeling hopeless or worthless. Today I’m feeling happy and free. Today is a good day! Let’s keep it that way 🥰

I deserve more.

I deserve more from this life than what has been dealt to me. I deserve happiness and respect. I deserve mental stability and days where I don’t feel worthless.
•
Life is such a struggle for me. I struggle everyday with staying focused and taking back control of my life and situation. I feel like I’m losing control of it all.
•
Everyday I think about “what could have been.” What would of happened if I didn’t date T? Would I be happier because he wouldn’t have abused me? What if I didn’t date B? Would I have learned the lessons I know now?
•
I’m kind of sick is asking “why me” all the time though. I don’t think the people in my life realize how much of a struggle it is to get through the day. We all have ups and downs but right now I’m only experiencing downs and I feel like I’m drowning.
•
I am not okay right now. Don’t be scared though because I know that soon I will be. Things are looking pretty grim but I’m still breathing and living and that’s all that matters at this time 🖤

It’s me from when I was 16!!! Obviously I look a little different now which isn’t a bad thing at all. I have been working my butt off in so many different ways over the past 7 years and my looks is one of them because I didn’t feel like myself when I was “blonde and innocent.” I’ve been working on my mental health a lot over the years. I’ve been going to therapy consistently for a year now and being open about my struggles because I have a lot of them. I finally accepted the struggles I face and did something about it. The blonde version of me hid everything and hush struggles in silence and was severely damaging her mind. The blonde girl was sad and no one knew it.
I don’t think people realize how far I really have come. I started expressing myself whether that me in my clothes, makeup, and hair color or because of the type of job I have. I am constantly told things I don’t want to hear about myself like:
🙃 I liked you better blonde
🙃 your makeup is always too dark
🙃 you need to stop dressing up in all black and acting “goth.” You’re too pretty for that.
🙃 you should have stayed in college.
🙃 I NEVER expected you to have the type of job you have. You’ll never make any money doing it.

Well for the record
😎 I hate my hair blonde. I prefer to be a red head!
😎 if you don’t like dark makeup then don’t wear it? My makeup is a form of expression for me and makes me feel beautiful
😎 I’ll dress however I want. Don’t like all black? Don’t wear it. I’m pretty no matter what I wear.
😎 I dropped out. So what? In my field you don’t need a degree.
😎 my job is my CAREER. I chose it because it made me proud and made me feel different than other women. Plus the money is great! I am content and happy with my choices.

I work hard everyday at work and at home to make myself happy because I need to. I am not a happy person. I am actually very sad and depressed and happiness takes a lot of work. I complain a lot about EVERYTHING which isn’t cool but it’s just how I am…. I am happy and thriving and that’s all that matters now ❤️🖤
