Hey all... hat-in-hands moment... I am so sorry for not posting anything about the break I've been on... but sadly I'm still figuring out how to navigate this podcast with the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes still ongoing... the long and short of it is, I'm no longer going to be putting out the content I've been putting out. I hope to get back to it soon. But until the writers and actors are given what they deserve, I have to stand in solidarity with them for a number of reasons... I hope this short listen provides some answers and solace.

I still can't believe we're already on season 2... this show flies by quicker than a night creature! In this episode, different players within Dracula's court continue their own schemes, Sypha says goodbye to her family, and Trevor decides it's time to revisit what remains of his. As always, the action, comedy, and character work being done here... peak.

SURPRISE! I'm covering something I never would've thought I would, the first two episodes of Adult Swim's My Adventures with Superman. In short, it was f*cking GREAT. I am so looking forward to watching more of Clark Kent's origin story play out, how his relationship with Lois Lane will unfold, and how he and Jimmy Olsen will be put to the test in their new internship at the Daily Planet, all while contending with a shocking villain.

Hey folks! I have a poll up on my latest episode about whether or not YOU, yes you, want me to talk about my thoughts on the upcoming animated series, My Adventures with Superman! It looks really fun and cute.

While I’ve never had much interest in Supes myself, I’m really looking forward to James Gunn’s take on the character in 2025’s Superman Legacy, and I read that this show is perfect for casual fans looking to familiarize themselves with the story of Clark Kent more.

This first season is short but also weirdly slow, but I think it serves as the perfect introduction to all of the characters, settings, and storylines.

SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE

Well, y'all, Sony has done it again... giving us the two BEST Spidey movies in the first two entries to the Spider-Verse saga was never something I would've imagined, and yet here they are. In a word, Across the Spider-Verse is, a masterpiece; whatever criticisms I might have are so minor they are hardly worth mentioning.

I absolutely adore these films, and this most recent entry solidifies that even more. From breathtaking, artistically audacious animation, to heartwarming, tear-inducing moments of true connection between the characters, I simply could not ask for more. Starting the countdown to Beyond the Spider-Verse now.

Rewatching this show has been an absolute treat, and it makes me even more excited for the next season, whenever it comes.

This. Episode. Has. Everything. Action, tension, emotion, you name it. Jayce and Silco attempt to broker a peace, Mel is still dealing with her mother's antics, and Vi and Jinx meet once again.

Although I'm still a day away from posting my coverage of the season 1 finale of , I have more in the works that I'd like to share with everyone!

Next Friday, June 2nd, I will be publishing an episode discussing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, with my wonderful friend Rach! We both adore the Guardians trilogy and had a fantastic time with the third installment, so we're really looking forward to sharing our thoughts on it. I hope to have Rach on for more movie and TV reviews in the future as well because we always just have such a fun time together 🥰

Following the GotG review, I'll be jumping into the first season of Netflix's ! It's become one of my favorite shows, one that I've rewatched countless times, and I absolutely cannot WAIT to start talking about it on the pod. I've never in my life played a Castlevania game, but something about the show really hooked me and I am beyond excited to be sharing that love with you all. Be on the lookout for that one Friday, June 9th.

Thank you to everyone who's stuck with me through all the craziness I've had going on. I can't promise that things will never get crazy again and that I'll always post a new episode weekly, but I am beyond appreciative of all the love and support I've received and I will never, ever take it for granted.

In the penultimate episode of season 1, mothers and daughters butt heads, accidental transformations take place, and gay subtext comes as close as it has to gay text so far in this series.

We're in the home stretch now! This episode, we'll see some old(er) familiar faces, certain relationships get stronger, others get weaker, and the tensions within and between Piltover and Zaun reaching its boiling point.

I also briefly touch on my thoughts about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but keep an eye out for a full length, in-depth review and discussion about it. In short, all you really need to know is, I LOVED IT.

Just wanted to take a moment to announce that it's looking like I will likely be taking yet another week off from the podcast... I'd hoped to be left with enough energy after my Chicago trip to want to continue where we left off with Arcane, but my travels this past weekend have taken a LOT out of me. I will try my very best, and if possible, have content out perhaps a few days late, but I make no promises in the event that I find myself just not being up to it.

I had an AMAZING time at C2E2 though, I found and purchased so much cool Spider-Man, Critical Role, and D&D stuff (including my first dice set or four lol) and I cannot wait to get frames and proper vehicles for all my fun new toys. My friends and I also had the awesome honor (hehe) and privilege of meeting some of the cast of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the show being the reason we met 3 years ago, and the reason we went to C2E2.

In summation, thank you all so much for your support and patience. I'll try to post some of my finds a little later on today, so you all can see proof of me being the nerdy girl behind these reviews that I try (try being the operative word) to put out every single week for you. This podcast's following may (so far) be tiny, but it is indeed Mighty 😉

Aaaaand we are finally digging into the world of Netflix's ARCANE! Apologies for not posting about it until now, the episode went live last night, but I was feeling under the weather yesterday, so much so that I left work early to go home and sleep 😭 But, I still put out the first episode covering season 1, episode 1, "Welcome to the Playground," and while it's short and sweet, I have a feeling the upcoming ones will be anything but, and may even feature some guests if I can swing it! At long last and yet all too soon, season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina has drawn to a triumphant close. Join me in nerding out over all the delicious action, touching moments, and uncomfortable almost-incest between long-lost relatives. This is the closest this show will ever come to Game of Thrones and I am grateful for it lol.

When you tell yourself this week’s episode needs to be shorter to make up for the Batman-sized episode last week, and you end up rambling for like 20 minutes about how much you love Laura Bailey and end up (pre-edit) with a 2.5 hour-long audio file... Needless to say, this episode may take a while to churn out lol.

Sidebar, with The Legend of Vox Machina Season 2 rapidly drawing to an end (sad emoji) I’ll be needing a new series to cover and I’m torn! I have a few on the backburner that I’m saving for later, but the options for my next one are Arcane (Netflix) and House of the Dragon (HBO Max).
