: Sporadic Shooting As Gunmen Invade Polling Unit | jay tee Media
No fewer than five gun-wielding men reportedly invaded a polling unit, in Akure, the Ondo state capital shooting sporadically to disperse the voting process.
The incident occurred at unit 4, ward 4, Ijomu/Obanla, in Akure South local government
A middle-aged man identified as Gboyega was reportedly shot and was rushed to the hospital on a motorcycle.
Voters, INEC officials, media men, election observers scampered for safety, as the hoodlums continued shooting for several minutes.
The empty shells of dispensed ammunition littered the road where the incident occurred. Men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense CORPS (NSCDC), later brought the situation under control.

NSCDC Deploys 7,079 Personnel, 60 Sniffer Dogs In Ondo Governorship Election | jay tee Media
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) said it has deployed no fewer than 7,079 personnel and 60 sniffer dogs to provide security for the Saturday governorship election in Ondo state.
Deputy Commander General(DCG) in charge of Operation Mr Hillary Madu said this in Akure.
Madu who said that the personnel were drawn from six South West states, Kogi and Kwara commands added that four Assistant Command General would also be on duty during the poll.
According to him “beside complementing other security agencies in providing security for electorate and electoral officials during the poll, NSCDC would also deploy to critical national assets being part of his core mandate.

Nigerian youths who started three days protest on Wednesday demanding an end to SARS operation in the country, said the government is yet to take actions as per their demand, and they will be sleeping at the Lagos State House of Assembly again tonight until F-SARS is completely scraped.
The angry youths after locking an express way for over one hour went back to the house of assembly insisting that the government must take immediate action.

The Nigeria Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, has described some Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) protesters as “pseudo-activists.”
This is just as the Deputy Commissioner of Police noted that some parts of Nigeria (some northern states) have supported the continuous operations of the anti-robbery squad in their states.
Speaking at the Sunrise Daily interview on Channels, Frank Mba said there are different categories of protesters: He described the first group as genuine protesters that want an end to the extrajudicial killings of some bad eggs in the police force.
He described the other group as clout chases, pseudo-activists that are portraying theirselves as influencers.ygm

FG Declares Three-day Closure Of Third Mainland Bridge | jay tee media
The Federal Government on Wednesday, October 7th, announce a total shutdown of Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos for three days from midnight on Friday to midnight on Sunday to carry out special repair works on the 11.8km platform.
The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mr Olukayode Popoola, said in a statement that the construction had reached a stage where there should not be any form of movement or vibration on the bridge for concrete casting, hence the closure.
