🥇HEALTH AND WELLNESS : mWell strengthens its team with OB-Gynecologists, family physicians, and mental health experts to celebrate International Women's Month.

⭐️MPIC's mWell, the Philippines' first and only health and wellness mega app, is on a mission to bring healthcare closer to Filipinos, especially women who are often the primary health guardians of the family. Nate Clarke, president and CEO of GoTyme, stated Thursday night that he sees rapid growth through the customer base of sister company Cebu Pacific.

GoTyme said it was still on track to acquire more than 5.5 million users in three years, expressing optimism about the tourism sector's recovery.

📍UPCOMING EVENT:

Spend an evening of fun with family and friends at the TITANS RUN 2023: Glow in the Dark, which will take place on the evening of March 12, 2023 at Mandani Bay in Mandaue City.

The fun run is open to the public and is organized by the PAREF Springdale School in collaboration with the Student Body Organization (SBO) and the parents of Grade 3 students.
The TITANs RUN 2023, according to Enzo Nathan Go, President of PAREF Springdale SBO, aims to promote family bonding.

"What we're trying to sell to the general public and our own community is a fun and enjoyable experience through amenities like glow-in-the-dark accessories for a festive and lively nighttime event," Go explained.

The TITANS RUN 2023 will have five categories, according to Go: 1K, 3K, 3K for Dad and Son (for 12 years and under), 5K, and 10K. The event is free and open to the public, with children as young as five or six attending as well as people as old as 60. The gun will go off every 15 minutes beginning at 6:30 p.m. for the 10K and ending at 7 p.m. for the 1K.

Registration costs P600 for the 1K and 3K, P1,100 for the 3K Dad and Son, P650 for the 5K, and P700 for the 10K run, according to Go.

All participants will receive a dri-fit race shirt, one glow accessory, a race bib, and a finisher's medal. Runners are also welcome to bring their own accessories, such as glow sticks, wristbands, and blinking lights. They could also buy some at the kiosks during the fun event.

The Mandani Bay compound will be the only location for the 1K run, which is ideal for children. Other races will take place along F.E. Zuellig Ave. in Mandaue City, which will be closed to traffic for the duration of the fun run. After the event, there will be kiosks and snacks available for those who want to eat.

The proceeds will be used for school development projects, including Father's Day, as well as Student Body Organization advocacies, including proposed collaboration with other school student councils.

E-VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS AT SM CITY CEBU AND SM SEASIDE CITY CEBU

SM Supermalls has installed the first free in-mall charging stations for e-vehicles (EVs) in Cebu, located in SM City Cebu and SM Seaside City Cebu, as part of its commitment to creating a safer and greener future for all.

SM Supermalls expanded its EV charging stations from Luzon to Mindanao, following an initial rollout in 2022 of 15 EV charging stations in Metro Manila alone and one in SM City Baguio.

Each SM mall will have one Wallbox Pulsar Plus AC charger with up to 7.4kW charging power and a 5m integrated charging cable. It is compatible with all Type 2 electric vehicles, including the Audi e-tron, BMW i3, and Hyundai Ioniq.

BEAT 2022, an event happening in Centerstage in Cebu SM Seaside this July 29, was conceived by Ng Khai Development Corporation to be an event that will connect Businesses, Education, Arts and Technology.

Companies not only allowed employees to work from home, but they found out that if the person can do great work to a California company while residing in Texas, then obviously they don't even have to live in the United States, but any part of the world, like the Philippines.

In short, BPO in a big scale is growing worldwide, and IT/BPAP gave the study that it grew by over 15% worldwide last year.

However, other statistics show that the PHilippines BPO industry grew only around 10% last year, which means we are ACTUALLY losing the opportunities. These opportunities are not only short term. If as many predicted, working remotely becomes a norm, there will be numerous opportunities for countries like the Philippines, and we have the demographics and the resources to do this on a big scale.

The feedback we have is that there has been a big gap of connecting the education with the business industry. There is a constant need to adjust the education offerings to match the needs of industry, which was the objectives of CIB.O, the organization formed by both the BPO organizations and the academe, of which Wilson Ng, Ng Khai president is a director.

Thus, BEAT 2022 will present a new twist. Digitalization of services remains a top priority, says SSS chief

Social Security System (SSS) President and CEO Michael G. Regino announced on Monday that the digitalization of the pension fund’s services remains one of its top priorities in the coming years.

PCEO Regino said that as online transactions become the new norm, more notably during this COVID-19 pandemic, the SSS plans to add more services to its online channels such as the My.SSS Portal, SSS Mobile App, Text-SSS, uSSSap Tayo Portal, and Self-service Express Terminals.

“In 2021, out of the 52.62 million transactions we received, excluding inquiries, 43.52 million or 82.7 percent were made using our online channels,” Regino said.

Currently, there are more than 30 member services and over 20 employer services that can conveniently be accessed through the My.SSS Portal. These services cover transactions for membership, contributions, loan granting and repayments, and benefit disbursements, among others. Some of these services can also be accessed through other SSS online channels.

“Since the My.SSS Portal is our main online channel, almost all of the new online services are made available here first. However, intensified efforts are also put towards making the services in this portal accessible in the SSS Mobile App for smartphone users, Regino added.

“We are gradually implementing mandatory online transactions for our programs. However, those without the personal means to transact with us online may use the e-Centers in our branches,” he concluded.
