Been a bit under the weather for a couple days. I hate having to change session dates, but I love getting new mics. Thank you .music for making stunning microphones at a lovely cost! This is my first pair of ribbon mics, T.Bone RB 500’s and I can’t wait to test these out!

You’ll need some cans to truly hear a difference here, but this subkick sounds fantastic! Really adds some meat to the kick drum.

Went to goodwill yesterday and bought this old stereo sub for six bucks. Got me a soldering kit today and reversed the polarities to turn it into a massive diaphragm
microphone. In other words, a sub kick! Having such a large diaphragm captures the really low frequencies, really bring out the weight of the kick drum. You can spend 200-400 bucks on one of these, or just find any ole speaker and make one yourself for super cheap! Sounds fantastic, also sounds great on bass cabs as well. Will make a comparison video with and without soon!
