This collaboration is made up of personnel from across the country, to bring you 1️⃣ site and mobile application, with validated information on Truck/Ladder Company Operations.

This site/app will host information, articles, manuals/guide-books, training videos, research & development, evaluations/demos, blogs, forums, and so much more…

All trusted and verified techniques that WORK.

TCM will also begin sales of additional products and tools; from saws to hands tools.

🚫 We will NOT sell anything that we do not use or haven’t demoed and/or evaluated.

✅We will only recommend the best equipment. We will not sell any product that we don’t believe in.

Too many organizations get “duped” into purchasing products that are not applicable for the job.

Most importantly, the access to the website will be FREE. Our goal is to have ONE site that you can TRUST with full transparency; to show you what works, what doesn’t, and information to support, from passionate “truckman” from every corner of the country.

Starting today, the Irmo Professional Firefighters Association will be raffling off a brand new N6A-Sam Houston leather fire helmet. All proceeds will be donated to the family of our fallen brother. The raffle will end June 21st at 5pm est and the winner will be drawn shortly after. As always, we hear at Irmo Fire appreciate all the love and support during this difficult time. Registration is now open for the 4th Annual EJ Mascaro Training Weekend held in Summerville, South Carolina from January 20th-22nd, 2023. As previously announced, this year’s event will cover “Squad Company Operations”.

Squad Company Operations will cover vehicle extrication, lifting/stabilizing, hose deployment, VES, Can Confidence, and other fireground tactics and operations.

Nuggets on positioning that are worth their weight in gold on the fire ground.

One of the biggest factors in positioning the ladder is the engine's positioning. 🔥🚒

📖 Some quick thoughts from our policies on structure fire operations:

1️⃣ "When positioning their apparatus, engine companies should remember that there are many evolutions to extend the length of hoselines. Engine company officers are responsible to ensure that the positioning of their apparatus does not interfere with the most desirable ladder company positions on the building."

2️⃣ "The positioning of the first arriving engine should support the advancement of attack lines and the initiation of water supply but should not hamper the positioning of ladder companies."

Good engine and truck company positioning does not result from thinking as individual companies, but as a team. Each company must understand the needs and jobs of the other. When we can anticipate what the other company will do, we can better plan for what we should do.

(Excellent job by E3's driver at this fire in getting a good position that allowed for advancemnet of multiple attack lines, completed their water supply, and stayed out of the way of the truck company and its ladder chute)

🔥 OFF-DUTY RESCUE🔥

This morning, while headed home from his shift, an off-duty Lexington County FF, called 911 and reported a working house fire. This firefighter immediately entered the house and successfully rescued a civilian whom was stuck on the stairway, unable to escape.

This firefighter is “into the job” and deserves so much, yet wants to remain anonymous currently.

On behalf of the Soda City Staff and the American Fire Service, thank you for upholding your oath to protect and place others above yourself.

The Lexington County Fire Service responded to a structure fire at around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, on the 100 block of Hilltop Road in the Red Bank area. Heavy fire was showing from the two-story home as units arrived on scene. Five people were displaced as the fire caused severe damage to the home. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Lexington County Sheriff's Department also responded to the scene to control traffic in the area. Boiling Springs Road is still closed at this time but is expected to reopen within the hour. The Red Cross is being contacted to assist the family. The cause of the fire is still being determined.
