by curating, preserving, producing, and making widely available otherwise overlooked artists and recordings. Values

• High fidelity: We aim to maximize the sonic capabilities of our r

elease formats to provide listeners with full, dynamic, and pleasurable musical documents. Look elsewhere for lo-fi indie garage rock.
• Levity: While we are serious about the sound and presentation of our music, we try not to take ourselves too seriously.
• Subversion: By providing compelling alternatives, we seek to challenge the legitimacy of music made for the benefit of Wall Street and transnational conglomerates. We see musicians as artists rather than shills for sneakers, soft drinks, and junk food.
• Originality: We seek to release music that is less derivative and more original.

Just over a year ago, myself (J3) , my brother Abe and my wife started Fine Shammy Records. A DIY indie label primarily for the release Sect.8 back catalog, out of print recordings, unreleased solo J3 audio and video as well as a highly selective group of artists I have worked with or produced.
All in between my work as FOH Engineer for The Struts. It is great to see this stuff getting out there!! We are super excited for what the next few years have in store!! Stay tuned for more info, content and releases!!
