La Voie aux Chapitres bookstore, 4 Rue Saint Jèrôme 69007 Lyon - Wednesday 17th November at 7:30 p.m.

The artist's book Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet edited by Luigi Castiglioni at Edizioni Notæ will be unveiled in the presence of Gavin Bryars during an evening where the first biography of the English composer, written by Jean-Louis Tallon is published by Éditions Le Mot and the rest. This meeting will be moderated by Richard Robert, director of the Opera Underground on the eve of an exceptional evening to be held in the great hall of the Opera where the work Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet will be performed (November 18, 2021).

Evening in the presence of Gavin Bryars [composer], Jean-Louis Tallon [author], Yves Jolivet [director of Éditions Le Mot et le Reste], Aliénor Rives [coordination and editorial monitoring of Éditions Le Mot et le Reste] Luigi Castiglioni [director des Edizioni Notæ].

Le livre d'artiste Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet édité par Luigi Castiglioni aux Edizioni Notæ sera dévoilé en présence de Gavin Bryars lors d'une soirée où la première biographie du compositeur anglais, écrite par Jean-Louis Tallon paraît aux Éditions Le Mot et le Reste. Cette rencontre sera animée par Richard Robert directeur de l’Opéra Underground à la veille d’une soirée exceptionnelle qui se tiendra dans la grande salle de l’Opéra où l'œuvre Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet sera interprétée (18 novembre 2021).

🎵 Jesus’ Blood Never Failed Me Yet. The 80-page book measures 50 x 35 cm and comes in a folder and slipcase plus a vinyl long playing record with the fragment of the religious song played as a loop for fifty times. The limited edition consists of one hundred and forty copies signed by Gavin Bryars of which the first thirty copies contain a hand-drawn artwork by the composer. 20 non-commercial copies, noted I to XX, are reserved for employees.

L’ouvrage de 80 pages mesure 50 x 35 cm et se présente sous chemise et étui augmenté d’un vinyle 33 tours gravé de l’enregistrement de l’œuvre chantée 25 fois sur la face A et 25 fois sur la face B. Tirage limité à 140 exemplaires, tous signés par Gavin Bryars. Les 30 premiers exemplaires sont enrichis d’une intervention graphique de Gavin Bryars. 20 exemplaires hors commerce, notés I à XX, sont réservés aux collaborateurs.
