A reminder; having a sense of safety is a vital position in allowing someone to show up as the truest self.
This has been a common conversation that I’ve had this week. It has encouraged me whilst also challenged me on how I can provide a safe space for those around me, to be their truest self. And to also recognise that they are always welcome.

Are you providing a safe space for your peers to feel welcome to be themselves. What can you do differently to allow them to be their truest self?
My next question is; are you showing up for yourself? Vulnerability is a word that tends to carry a bit of weight, but know it’s welcome. Always. 🤎

When you hold space for someone, you communicate to the receiver that they matter.

Don’t try to fill the space for the sake of it. By simply standing beside your peer, hearing them, acknowledging them, and continuing to walk alongside them through it all, Regardless, is a huge impact.
Take time to hold space for someone this weekend. There’s people in your life that need it most. You don’t need to look to far to change the world - just look beside you.

In celebration, we’d love to share our promotional video, influenced and inspired by some incredible people within my life. Well I guess it’s time to introduce myself!
My name’s Kinesi, I am a proud Fijian woman from the island of Kadavu, I’m 23 years old, I’m lactose intolerant (self diagnosed, I know my body), I just completed my degree at University, my favourite fruit is a guava and I’m extremely passionate about community and youth and young adults. And I am the creator of this platform called KolourFull.

KolourFull has been a desire that has been in my heart for some time now. A space where conversations meet community, and the expression of ‘bringing people to the table’ is intentional and joyous.
Conversations are important - but finding a safe space to share can be a bit of a trial and error for others.
Within KolourFull the desire is to engage with people inside our community and more, to bring to the table conversations surrounded by all things and everything. By doing so, we hope to encourage and engage people to the conversation, and to cultivate a culture of inclusivity and participation to the biggest question of all; Do I belong in this conversation.

For the unheard to be heard, the unseen to be seen, and for all to be embraced into a space of family and community.
This is KolourFull, where all is welcome.
