The gymnasium of Sawata National High School came alive with cheerful smiles, heartfelt applause, and vibrant energy as the school community warmly welcomed its new principal Ma'am Christine E. Paulican, Principal I as she begins a new journey of service and leadership.

As Ma'am Paulican officially stepped into her role, she was welcomed with heartfelt messages, warm smiles, and sincere support from the school community, reflecting their confidence in her leadership and their excitement for the future of Sawata NHS.

In her message, she expressed her sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and shared her inspiring vision for the school. "My goal as principal is not to change what makes Sawata NHS great, but to support our growth so that we can build an even stronger community together," she stated.

Her words filled the gymnasium with hope and optimism as she highlighted that progress is best achieved through cooperation, respect, and the collective efforts of every member in the community.

As Sawata NHS embraces this new chapter, hope and determination continue to unite the school community, inspiring everyone to work hand in hand toward a future of growth, excellence and shared success under Ma'am Christine Paulican's leadership.

Sawata Municipal Police Station conducted a shooting incident simulation at Sawata National High School on July 30, to assess the school's emergency response and prepare students and personnel for possible active shooter situations.

During the exercise, the police staged a scenario involving a father who entered the school to defend his son who had been bullied by his classmates.

According to the Deputy Chief of Police PCPT. Alana Cristie M. Colis, the simulation shooting drill aimed to assess the initial reaction of the students, teachers, and other school personnel during an actual shooting incident.

Before the drill began, school principal Alan Jr. J. Paglinawan together with PCPT. Alana Cristie M. Colis, gave a pre-drill briefing to Grade 10 Rizal and Del Pilar learners on what they are going to do during the simulation exercise shooting incident.

"The benefits for the learners are that they will be prepared in case this happens in real life. Not just in school, but wherever they may be when such incidents occur, they will know what to do initially,โ€ Colis stated.

Colis said students who experience bullying often seek support from their parents. However, misunderstandings may arise when parents hear only one side of the incident.

Furthermore, she also discouraged students from bringing knives and other sharp objects to school, stressing that proper interventions and disciplinary measures are more appropriate than carrying weapons for self-defense.

The simulation concluded with a post-drill evaluation, highlighting the importance of continued coordination between Sawata National High School and Sawata Municipal Police Station in improving campus emergency preparedness.

Today, Sawata National High School officially held its Transition Meeting, marking the formal turnover of leadership from our outgoing School Principal, Alan Jr. J. Paglinawan, to our incoming School Principal, Christine E. Paulican.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir Alan for his dedicated service, exemplary leadership, and invaluable contributions to the school community. Your commitment has left a lasting impact on our learners, teachers, and stakeholders.

At the same time, we warmly welcome Ma'am Christine as she begins her journey of leading Sawata National High School. We look forward to working together toward continued excellence, innovation, and quality education.
