Great podcast. I think though the more you look at these things the more you get pulled into focusing on the minutiae and the big picture is often lost. After listening to the podcast and doing my own reading a few things just stick out like a massive set of dogs balls in how fictional they are when looked at logically.

The Murder - REALITY or FICTION
So looking at the bigger picture here, what QPS want us to believe is that:

(a) Leanne asked Graham to bleach her hair.
(b) During this process Graham tried to make sexual advances to Leanne and she objected or put up a fight.
(c) Graham killed her to stop her telling her father and sister this had occurred.
(d) But wait, isn’t the hammer downstairs in a toolbox or car or garage??
(e) Did Graham really do steps (a) and (b) and then say hang on and go downstairs and get a hammer and take it back upstairs and kill her??
(e) If he was bleaching her hair he wouldn’t have taken a hammer upstairs with him to do that.
(e) And just say he did go down and get a hammer and go back to kill her. Would she really still be there just casually dying her hair and waiting for him? Wouldn’t someone who had been sexually assaulted take off while he was gone?
(e) If QPS want people to believe that he happened to take a hammer up with him to dye her hair, and she put up a fight to his advances, and he pulled the magic hammer out and hit her, that is just a big load of BS.

Maggot - REALITY or FICTION
I think the wheres and why fors of this maggot have clouded the issue and are a bit of a moot point. In looking at the bigger picture, there are some no brainers about why there was never a maggot in that boot:

(a) If Leanne was only in the boot for 24-72 hours as they said, this is not enough time for the body to decompose to putrefaction, attract flies, have eggs laid, and have maggots develop to adult (takes 24-48 hours) before the body was dumped. FICTION
(b) To have a maggot you have to have a fly. Now if she was sealed in the boot from shortly after she was killed until she was dumped, there is very minimal exposure time to have a fly present, lay eggs in an open wound, and have maggots feed and grow to adult size. FICTION
(c) If she was in the boot, had decomposed enough to attract flies, flies were present and laid eggs, and maggots developed, I would suggest that there was not just 1 maggot on her, there would have been possibly hundreds, as flies can lay up to 150 eggs in a single batch, so wouldn’t more have fallen off and/or crawled away in the boot than that one lone maggot. FICTION
(d) Rigor morris is still present from 24-48 hours after death and putrefaction occurs within 4-10 days. Leanne did not have enough time to get to that stage before being dumped. I don’t think there was even time for the odour to have formed. FICTION

(e) I found this research paper. Of most note is “Confinement of pig carcasses inside car trunks….delayed blow fly colonization by three to six days” and “The presence of a metal fire wall between the passenger area and trunk of the car resulted in slowed decomposition and fewer insects colonizing”. FICTION

Hair Dye - REALITY or FICTION
This is really where the rubber hits the road because if this never happened then there is no motive, opportunity, or reason for Graham to kill Leanne and the QPS theory is out the window.

(a) Knowing what young and teenage daughters are like, would a girl that age really want her older sisters boyfriend to help her dye her hair. I mean come on! The ones I know would not even want their fathers or brothers doing that.
(b) If Graham was going to help her dye her hair, what help could he possibly give. Do they want us to believe he was standing behind her ‘hairdresser style’ with some gloves on (as I assume he had no bleach or smell on his hands) massaging bleach into her hair. I mean come on!
(c) The whole process is not really that hard. Buy the bleach, mix in bowl, rub into hair, wait, wash out. What part could Graham really be needed to provide expertise to assist with?? The most he would have to do is tell her the steps and off she goes.
(d) Where is the bleach receipt, packaging. Used bowl, gloves? Magically vanished?

Old Shower Curtain - REALITY or FICTION
This bores me to even say it, but who keeps an old used $2 shower curtain once they have replaced it. Just in case you have to wrap a body in it. Of course the shower curtain was thrown out weeks before. I mean come on!

Hammer - REALITY or FICTION
Now with the hammer being “misplaced” by QPS, and I assume from what you said it was later found:

(a) Was it tested for Leanne’s DNA?
(b) Was it compared to the skull fractures and injuries as a possible murder weapon?
(c) Was it tested for Graham’s DNA or prints?
(d) Has it been proven to be the murder weapon?
FICTION

The BIG unanswered questions for me are:
1. If she was seen at the bank and in a car with someone after she was supposed to be dead, why was this ignored at trial?
2. If she withdrew money for her (?) uncle, where did the money go, did she take it to him, and was he then the last person to see her alive? Was the uncle a suspect and if not why not?

In the chemistry laboratory, we can use our understanding of kinetics to both measure and manipulate the timeline of death. Specifically measuring the time of death and preserving evidence after death.

I see Police Dog Quizz is missing in the same area Leanne Holland’s body was found. Despite up to 300 people searching for a week they have not been able to find Quizz. They should have just called on the TWO cops on motorcycles who found Leanne’s body after only 6-8 hours of searching. And apparently they had 5-6 suburbs to cover.
