Berenice Llorens is a composer, guitar player, and sound artist from Córdoba, Argentina based in Berlin. By recording and reinterpreting sounds from nature, the city, and machines, Llorens creates constantly evolving atmospheres inviting to reflection on how our experiences are transformed by the environment that surrounds us. Her practice involves a process of perceiving and integrating sounds, sensory experiences, and materials, where space is an atmospheric scene and time is a way to travel through that artificial ecosystems. Llorens experiments with improvisation, performances, compositions, radio, audiovisual works, drawings, writings, and collaborations in dance, theatre and other fields. She is part of the musical projects Marmotas Dreams, Las Chismosas, and “toros”. She curates and produces the Beyond of_line radio show on Refuge Worldwide and She researches in AI, computer music, and sound. Her work has been exhibited at Mutek (CA, AR), ArtLab (AR), Oi Futuro (BR), Earth Day Arts Model (USA), Now Net Arts (USA), CASO (AR), Acud Mach Neu (GE) and more.

VÍZ is the experimental solo project of Transylvanian Hungarian vocalist, composer, performer and multidisciplinary artist Réka Csiszér.

The conceptual debut work ‘Veils’ is constructed as an elegiac body horror soundtrack in seven stages, dealing with themes of duality, unreality, the corporeal, language, self & identity, and the pursuit of ancestral provenance.

Iridescent drones, field recordings, analog synthesis, modulated acoustic elements, as well as recorded vocal fragments of Csiszér and her grandmother are intricately woven together, creating an eerie, meditative vision; an ethereal broadcast from some haunted communication facility.

Berenice Llorens is an experimental multidisciplinary artist and guitar player from Argentina, currently based in Berlin.

By capturing and interpreting sounds from nature, the city, and machines, Llorens creates immersive sonic atmospheres that invite reflection on how our creative experiences are transformed by the environment that surrounds us.

Her practice involves a process of perception and integration of our environment, of turning the external internal, and the internal external.

Berenice Llorens’ work is a blend of original compositions, live performances, radio art, audiovisual art, drawings, writings, and collaborations in musical ensembles and dance, as well as research in artificial intelligence and music.

Interference is a fusion of analog and digital tools, including synthesizers, processing pedals and voices that resonate with me. I use the improvisation to transform and create ethereal atmospheres that pulsate with artificial rhythms and natural beats over floating harmonies in real time. I follow my intuition and allow myself to break free from pre-established models and structures. I don't limit myself to any particular genre or style, instead, I seek to expand the boundaries of what is possible in music.

SONORITIES THAT OSCILLATE BETWEEN TECHNO, EXPERIMENTAL, BREAKS & AMBIENT.

The connection with the environment we inhabit and how we are transformed through its perception is one of the most important things in my art. Because this, I use deep listening to the sounds around me and my own voices, sometimes silent voices, to perceive and transform this energy into a mystical and psychedelic journey.
