You can’t love the culture and not support the people. 👏🏽

Simple as that. As the granddaughter of a field worker who labored in San Diego County’s avocado and citrus fields, I learned early that our cultura runs deeper than trends. We see it everywhere - the food, the music, the traditions being embraced while our gente continue fighting for basic dignity and rights.

My abuelo’s legacy reminds me daily: real love for a culture means showing up for its people. 💚

Mi gente, it’s time for a heart-to-heart. A wise friend reminded me that building a stronger business means building a stronger community. Supporting each other doesn’t mean we can’t thrive financially - in fact, it means we SHOULD!

Things can change in a heartbeat. Today, this is what I’m seeing but tomorrow it could all be taken away.

I am heartbroken by what is happening just a few hours away. I grew up in Escondido, which is North County San Diego not far from the hills and mountains and we definitely dealt with our fair share of fires. But NOTHING like what is happening in L.A. right now.

We in Southern California know how amazing we have it here most of the time. Beaches, mountains, deserts, amazing weather and even more amazing people. But we also know the anxiety of the dry season and the lack of rain in the rainy season. We know the panic of Santa Ana winds and how one spark from a cigarette butt, power line, etc can produce damage like we are seeing now.

This is NOT the time to lay blame. Now is the time to show what we are made of and help our brothers and sisters who have lost so much. Now is the time to hold space and reach out. Now is the time to be the California we are and show the kindness, grace, and generosity we know we are made of.

We reviewed the ballot together, discussed the issues together and voted accordingly. Because when you have a man who supports the rights of women, you don’t have to hide who you’re voting for 👊🏽

As a Latina, it’s extremely important to me to be vaccinated cal about my support to amplify and uplift people from communities of color.

This message on my shirt really resonates with me - you can’t truly love a culture unless you also show up and support the people who create it. It’s a powerful reminder to move beyond just passive appreciation and find meaningful ways to advocate for the communities I care about.

I encourage you to reflect on how you can put this principle into practice in your own life.

Hola, mi gente. 👋🏼

Looking at these moments from my life fills me with such gratitude and joy! Every day I’m learning to embrace who I am and chase my passions with my whole heart. Whether I’m lounging in my favorite dress feeling confident, sharing amazing food and wine with my love (that bruschetta board was everything!), or connecting with incredible people through virtual meetings, each experience adds a new layer to my journey.

I’ve discovered that some of my most profound learning comes from these genuine connections - both in person and online. There’s something magical about how sharing a meal or raising a glass with someone can break down barriers and open up the most amazing conversations. And even when we can’t be physically together, technology helps us bridge those gaps, letting us learn from and inspire each other across any distance.

What fills my heart most is how each of these moments represents growth, whether it’s professional development, personal discoveries, or cultural exchange. I’m learning that finding your passion isn’t a solo journey - it’s enriched by every person you meet, every story you hear, and every experience you embrace.

I look forward to continuing this beautiful journey of learning, growing, and connecting with amazing people from all walks of life. Here’s to living authentically, chasing dreams, and celebrating the joy of human connection! 🥂✨​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
