Flamingos on Lake Michigan? YES! This is not a prank.

Hurricane Idalia has brought dozens of these incredible tropical birds from the Yucatan Peninsula all over the eastern US over the last two weeks. MAJOR BIRD NEWS: A new paper has been published claiming to demonstrate that the Ivory-billed woodpecker is NOT extinct! Photos and audio recordings collected over the past few years definitely look interesting but many birders are not convinced.

What do you think, extinct or still alive?

Would you like to see a video of Caleb and Will breaking down this new evidence?

Today's prize- the RARE Ferruginous Hawk, in Newaygo County, Michigan, far out of range! To see how this crazy experience played out, see our various live videos from today, June 5, 2023 and our video from last night where we layed out the magnitude of this discovery.

If you look carefully you can see feathers on its back sticking out. This is from the transmitter it is wearing which was fitted by researchers in Ontario. Bird was last seen heading southeast into Kent County, Michigan and hasn't been refound since.
