UPDATE: At approximately 5:40 p.m., the KBI was notified that Paisley Thompson was located in Butler County, Kansas. She is now safe, and the suspects are in police custody. Thank you to the public and law enforcement for your diligent response to this child abduction.

EARLIER: KANSAS AMBER ALERT -- PLEASE SHARE:
The KBI has issued an AMBER ALERT for 3-year-old Paisley Thompson, taken from Ft. Riley, Kansas.

Suspects are likely driving a bright orange 2015 BMW X1 bearing tag 769-RXZ.

Paisley was taken by gunpoint from her mother by the suspects and is believed to be in imminent danger. The suspects left from a residence located at 4465 3 Lee St. in Ft. Riley, Kansas, headed in an unknown direction.

The suspects are 24-year-old Jordan Thompson, white male, 6 ft. 250 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes and 41-year-old Melanie Allison, white female, 5 ft. 4 in., 200 lbs., with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Paisley was last wearing a pink shirt with a dinosaur on it and blue tennis shoes. Jordan was wearing a black hoodie and jeans. Melanie was wearing a blue shirt, black slacks and possibly a windbreaker.

Call 911 IMMEDIATELY if you see the missing child, suspects, or the vehicle. Relay all other information to 1-800-KS-CRIME.

The Cherokee County Road and Bridge Department will be replacing failing culverts east of Highway 69 / US 400 on Center Star Road. The repairs will be made on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 and Center Star Road will be closed while repairs are being made. If this route is on your regular commute, please plan accordingly to use an alternate route.
