Quick and easy lunch for the hubby…

This meal is not In my macros right now but when your lifting and gaining or maintaining it’s great!

It’s a huge portion. It could be cut in half which would make it fit into a weight loss plan easily! You could even serve it over cauliflower rice or protein pasta instead of potatoes.

615 calories, 34 grams of protein. This is very carb heavy so it’s not suitable for a diabetic or keto diet without modification.

Easy healthy weeknight one pan bake. Just chop, season and bake!!

This is how I made it… but you can totally customize.

1/2 onion
1/2 bell pepper
3 yellow squash
2 zucchini
1 pound sausage (I use Conecuh)
1 pound shrimp (this is precooked from Kroger)

1 tablespoon onion seasoning
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp Olive oil or preferred blend (I use keto oil)

Chop veggies and sausage in baking pan. Sprinkle seasoning on top. Drizzle with oil and toss (with tongs is easiest) to mix. Bake 350 30 minutes. Add shrimp to top. Bake a few minutes to heat shrimp.

Remove from oven toss to distribute shrimp. Serve and enjoy!!

When I packed my lunch today, I was like whoa there that’s a lot of food. Then I remembered when you learn how to pick better ingredients and snacks, you can actually enjoy food without taking in excessive calories.

I found fantastic low calorie dressing and pack my salads with protein and if you’ve been following me you know I don’t count carbs (still under 50g) Calorie deficit is what counts!

Even with all my snacks I’ve still had just under 700 calories for the whole day and that leaves me room for a good dinner or even a treat!

I happened upon these dressings and sauces at Mac’s Fresh Market in Ridgeland. I was searching for the lowest calorie thousand island I could find to make “Big Mac” wraps and salads…. It was good! I couldn’t believe how low in calories and inexpensive it was.

WIN WIN!!!

I went back for more today and saw all these other dressings, marinades and sauces they have on the DOLLAR AISLE!

I’m not sure what other stores have this brand. I have searched the internet and come up short (if you see it anywhere please let me know) but if you’re in Ridgeland, stop and grab a bottle to try.

Today I think I’m eating dessert first!

1 container Greek yogurt
1 tbsp pudding mix (sugar free)
1/2 tsp stevia
1 tbsp almond milk
Mix
Top with 1 cup fruit of choice

Approx 200 calories and 19g of protein

Sometimes you just don’t want to meal plan and prep or you just may want to snack. My “protein bowls” are great for those days. Follow this with a Carbmaster (or low carb low sugar) yogurt and fruit for dessert and I promise you’ll be stuffed!

I serving of each:
sliced chicken
Canadian bacon
Turkey pepperoni
Colby jack cheese
And a bunch of pickles

Way better and better for you than a sandwich and chips. When you throw in the fruit and yogurt you’re only adding about 100 calories but also you’re adding another 10g+ protein (depending on the fruit)

Lunch totals: about 350 calories and 40g of protein

This should fit into almost any style diet plan unless it’s vegan, vegetarian or plant based 😂 and leave plenty of calories for dinner.

Remember a calorie deficit is all you have to achieve to lose weight. Unless you have specific health concerns there’s no real need to track all those other macros.

19 grams of protein in 279 calories!! I’ll take it!!

I almost exclusively eat Kroger brand yogurt. Either Carbmaster or Light Nonfat Greek. I don’t mess with high calorie, high carb, high sugar yogurt (or anything really). I also like to flavor plain or vanilla Greek yogurt with fruit and some Truvia “brown sugar”

I found lots of sounds really good flavors online like Birthday Cake and Cinnamon Pecan. The price seem to start around $8.99 and go up from there for a 22 ounce bag which is about 9 servings.

There’s also a brand called Ketola that seems close in Macros and some flavors that is a little less expensive… about $7.99 and up.

I saw these at Sam’s, Costco, Target, Walmart, Kroger and even CVS so it should be sold almost anywhere groceries are available.

I know I promised to make more “healthy” meal posts and I’m the first one to admit in some ways I’m a slacker but baby when I make my mind up I am one determined woman…. Long post. You’ve been warned.

This is 53 pounds gone. Busting out of size 14 jeans to a size 4 in this picture. Plus size section to Smalls and mediums. Obese BMI to normal range (just barely) I’m almost where I need to be. There’s about 17 pounds more to go to be in the middle of my ideal weight range.

I haven’t done anything extreme. No surgery. No fad diet. No meal plan. No insane amount of time exercising. In fact, I hardly workout at all. It’s something I need to do more of. This was putting foot down, taking the help of adipex and making the changes. This is creating new habits. This is all repairing my diet. Giving up diet soda. Drinking tons of nothing but water. Finding substitutes for all the calorie filled delicious I didn’t want to give up and haven’t. I still eat cake. I still eat carbs. I still enjoy food. Clean, not processed, not sugar filled, lowish carb, good for you food. Do I wish I had lost more faster? Yep. Am I happy with my progress? Well hell yeah! Am I satisfied where I’m at? No, I still have work to do and now is when it’s hard.

My advice is to track track track everything you consume. Include your supplements because they are sneaky.. especially gummy vitamins! And plan plan plan your days so you can hit your macro goals and still stay within your calorie limit. (I use carb manager to track calories)

Here’s my “not professionally” self directed regimen
Eat .7 to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight
Calculate your daily calorie limit by multiplying your goal weight x 12
Set your carbs and fat intake to whatever you think
is sustainable for your long term health. Calorie deficit = weight loss period end of story.
Moving helps. Get out and get active 2-4 times a week. Like I said I didn’t have a workout routine but housework counts right?

I made this for dinner tonight with a couple of tweaks. I added one green bell pepper and a half of a Vidalia onion. I used 2 tsp the Cajun seasoning and 1 tsp garlic and herb seasoning (somebody here can’t take the heat) I also used minced garlic from a jar in place of fresh cloves. I was out of paprika and I did not garnish with parsley. It turned out fabulous! It was super filling. Peep those calories and a whopping 50 grams of protein per serving!!! This recipe is definitely going in rotation. Pics I’m comments if you don’t have Pinterest.

I put my makeup on at 6:30 this morning and I wear a mask all day at work. The quality blows me away but I have no words for the staying power!
