One of my biggest regrets with my first child was not making it to a year breastfeeding. But PPD, full time work, and a a little laziness kept me from that goal. I stopped at 6 months. I tried to relactate at 8 months but got pregnant again and my doctors advised me to stop to focus on my nutrition and my unborn child. So, 10 months, I’m feeding both kids!
It is NEVER too late to give your child the benefits of mother’s milk if you are able to! Here is some advice on how I did it:

1) pump AT LEAST twice a day. There more you pump, the more you produce.
2)my daughter took back to the milk quickly, but I started her off small. Don’t be afraid of crawling before running! Start with sips of breast milk before trying to give them a whole bottle.
3) having trouble producing? The premade lactation products are fine, but homemade worked for me like a charm! Flaxseed, rolled oats, and brewers yeast. Add this to any meal to make it a “lactation meal.” My favorite are waffles, brownies, and cookies. But I’ve even added them to smoothies!
4) stay relaxed. Nothing dries you up like stress. I did my best to not freak out when she didn’t immediately want to drink it and didn’t stress over the amount. Any bit matters. And as the weeks went by, I got a steady supply. And even about 100oz in the freezer!!

Good luck on your journey mamas! You got this! And just because they say breast milk is important, remember the most important thing is your baby is FED!

I’ve heard so many people lament over naptraps, but here are some reasons why they’re a blessing!

⭐️it’s an amazing way for both parents to bond with their child
⭐️it forces you to take a break and just enjoy
⭐️it’s just darn cute and comfy!

Enjoy your time with your babies, especially the quiet moments because trust me, they won’t be there for long!
