I'm teaching two sessions of my training, "Revolutionizing Fire and EMS Recruitment: Harnessing the Power of Smartphone Video" on Tuesday, February 20th, at the Fire Rescue Conference in Virginia Beach. Do you need a quick and easy solution to keep your phone camera steady for your video shoots? Look no further than your own home! With a little creativity and resourcefulness, you can find a household item that can double as a tripod.

One useful tip is to use a stack of books to prop up your phone when shooting videos. If you're shooting vertical videos, placing your phone in a coffee mug works great (as long as there's no coffee in it :-) ).
