Dark chocolate is laminated into the scones creating thin ripples throughout the end product. Cream pies evoke joy.

I think everybody has their favorite flavor; coconut, chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, banana, or any other myriad of fruits formed into a cream. Now, I realize this is not a true banana cream pie, and technically it’s a tart, but I definitely started with the idea of a cream pie. I just wanted to dress it up and try some new ideas.

I’ll admit that I actually try to think of creative ways to use my cotton candy extract. Not because I want to get rid of it, but because I love it so much! Cotton candy flavor is one of my favorites (Hello, never going to grow up.) and it’s right up there with bubble gum and blue raspberry. Flavors that are completely unnatural, but I just can’t get enough.

Peach and almond go so well together.

This time of year I love to take advantage of fresh fruits in my desserts. Preparing them in ways that don't break them down too much and you can still appreciate the full flavor + texture of the fruit itself.

This almond cream tart with fresh peaches on top doesn't bake very long (30-40) minutes, keeping the peach slices whole.

I have been so MIA lately.

My website has an entirely new face and I've added a lot of new features for you! Now you can print recipes, share to social media, and leave reviews. I also gave my newsletter an overhaul, because anyone signing up was just dropping a request into an nowhere land. 😩

I also started another entirely separate and unrelated business. As you can see, I have just been so busy the last couple of weeks, but I'm back and it's all about the improvements!
