I am sad to announce that my time for season 7 of The Retro Gaming League has come to an end. My opponent, Achievement Unlocked, was too good this past week stopping me from progressing past the quarterfinals. Shout out to you sir and good luck to all in the semis! Overall, I've had an amazing season being the top seed the entire time and played against some amazing people/pages. I will be back for season 8 for sure. Hope tonsee a lot of you back next season and thanks to everyone who cheered me on and supported me! Lots of love to all of you!

Season 7 Quarterfinal Playoff Game, Rules, and Matchups

This week's game is Crash Bandicoot 2 for the PlayStation 1. You have from midnight EST Monday March 11th until 7 pm EST Sunday March 17th to FINISH, NOT START YOUR RUNS. [For our European pages, the times are from 5 AM Monday March 11th until Midnight March 18th.]

Please tag The Retro Gaming League in your post so we can see and judge your run.

IF YOU USE A DIFFERENT PLATFORM, SUCH AS TWITCH, PLEASE MESSAGE THE LEAGUE SO WE CAN SCORE YOUR RUN.

YOU MAVE STREAM A DIFFERENT GAME AFTER YOUR RUN IS COMPLETED IF YOU CHOSE, BUT WE ASK THAT YOU HAVE A SLIGHT PAUSE IN THE STREAM BETWEEN THE GAMES. YOUR STREAM STILL HAS TO BE ENDED BY THE WEEK DEADLINE TIME TO BE SCORED, DESPITE WHAT YOU ARE PLAYING AT THAT POINT.
THIS MAKES THINGS EASIER FOR OUR JUDGES.

GAME RULES:

- 90 minute time limit, timer starts when you hit start on the file selection screen.
- NO CHEATS OR GLITCHES ARE ALLOWED
- NO EXTENSIONS ALLOWED
- YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SAVE YOU GAME THROUGHOUT YOUR RUN, BUT YOU HAVE TO START WITH A NEW GAME FILE
- You DO NOT have to go entire time if you are happy with your progress.
- You will play until (1) the time limit is up, or (2) you complete the game.
- YOU WILL PLAY THE GAME ON DEFAULT DIFFICULTY

WINNING SCENARIOS:

- Page that gets the most purple crystals in the game will win.

TIEBREAKER:

- If pages get to the same number of purple crystals, the tiebreaker will come down to fastest time wins. If both pages complete the game with all 25 purple crystals, the page that completes the game the fastest will win.

-GAME MAY BE RAN ON ORIGINAL HARDWARE or PC EMULATION (N-Sane Trilogy will not be allowed to use)

-We ask that if you use a streaming platform, such as OBS, to be sure and NOT cover up your screen so it can be judged.

-PLEASE SAY OFFICIAL RUN IN YOUR POST SO WE KNOW IT IS YOUR OFFICIAL RUN FOR THE WEEK.

-IF YOU NEED ANY GAME FILE, PLEASE CHECK OUT THE FILES POSTED IN THE DEDICATED DISCORD CHAT, OR MESSAGE THE LEAGUE.
