It's hard to believe that Boy In Da Corner, Dizzee Rascal’s first and best album, is almost 20 years old! We love this album, and it's crazy to think that he was just 18 when recording it 🙌🏼

Dizzee will be marking the anniversary with a headline show in The O2 in London in March next year, and we can’t wait to get our hands on some tickets. Do you guys have any favourite tracks from the album?!

*The Ethereum Merge: What it means for us!*

It’s official: Ethereum has now adopted a proof-of-stake model rather than proof-of-work.

This means that the energy requirements of Ethereum have now dropped by over 99%, overcoming one of the biggest downfalls of blockchain technology. 🙌🏼

To put this into context, the change will bring about a *0.2% reduction in the global electricity consumption* (🤯) - laying the foundations for Ethereum to stick around for a long time!

This also means that further down the line, climate-conscious investors are likely to be more attracted to the Ethereum, and miners will no longer have to sell all of the Eth they earn, since validating blocks is now significantly cheaper than PoW cryptography.

You don’t need to do anything if you have Eth, so be weary of any scams that might ask you to make changes or take action.

We’re more proud than ever to be on Ethereum, the future is bright Bally Fam! 👊🏼🚀

We announced last week that we’ve been busy in the studio, so it’s only fair that you get a sneak peak of what we’ve been cooking up 😈

This beat will be the track of our *very first music competition* which will be taking place in the coming weeks. We'll be telling you more about this very soon, but for now, here's a little snippet of what to expect! 🔊

It's 140bpm with filthy 808s... so if you know, you know 😜

This track is the first of many, but it’s a special one to us here at BOTB because it marks the very beginning of Bally’s Got Talent, our decentralized talent scouting platform.

The winner of the competition will get to work *directly* with our producer to build on this very track, so now's the time to start getting your bars and verses down if you haven’t already 🙌🏽🙌🏽

🎤 *Bally’s Got Talent: Huge announcement!* 🎤

Happy Monday Bally Fam, hope you all had a good weekend! 👊🏼👊🏼

As always, we spent it working behind the scenes on Bally’s Got Talent, but we’re pleased to say that we've made some huge strides this week!

We have now got our *first in-house producer* lined up. 🙌🏽🔥

We won’t reveal too much just yet, but he’s worked with some of the biggest artists in the industry and he already feels like part of the Bally Fam. We’ll be revealing more information on him this week, but for now, let’s take a look at exactly what he’ll be doing here at BOTB!

*Where we’re at right now*

We’ve spent some time in the studio this week with our vocalist who has now laid down a *fire vocal hook for our first exclusive BGT track.* Once the track has been mixed and mastered, we will be inviting all rappers and singers onto the Bally’s Got Talent stage to spit their best lines and verses over it!

There will be a cash prize for the winner, and they will get to work *directly* with our producer to get started on a new track.

The entire reason we started this project was to create a decentralized talent scouting platform to support the artists we love directly. We call this platform Bally's Got Talent, and at last, even in a bear market, it's taking great shape 🔨

This is going to be huge Bally Fam, watch this space. 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

We are now working directly with an established U.K. music producer to create our first *original music content* for Bally’s Got Talent 🙌🏼

The beats are fire already, and the best part is, we’re making them just for you. Think: dirty kicks, rolling grimy hi-hats, and of course, plenty of space in the mix for your voice!

We know what that you’re gonna sound insane rapping over them and we can’t wait to hear it. Now’s the time to practice your flow and get those bars down on paper (and feel free to drop them in the Bars on the Block channel if you’re feeling brave enough 😜).
