Record Archives: This might be my most rare 7” -- the Scrapple! box set put out by WKDU Philadelphia 91.7FM in 1993. Four 7" records containing 16 punk/rock/noise songs by a who’s who of 90s Philly alt rock: Blue, Kitschchao, Temple of Bon Motin, Red Paint People, O Mighty Isis, More Fiends, Mothra, Caterpillar, Strapping Fieldhands and more.

Great collection - unfortunately very hard to find on vinyl. But you can download mp3s of it over at Freedom Has No Bounds !!

Record Archives: "Solid State” (1996) - the only full-length LP by 90s Philly noise punk band BLUE. I don’t know too much about the band, but a couple of friends (Fravel, Paul K.) have been in Blue at one point or another. You can occasionally find some of Blue’s 7” floating around - a couple were on Erl Records. Raucous noise-punk! I especially love the “Solid State” LP -- it’s really quite excellent (Paul K of CHINO and Monkey 101 plays bass on it and does some singing). And you can also find some various Blue mp3 downloads over at Freedom Has No Bounds.

Record Archive: Because this came up in another post, here’s a well-known (to Philly punks in the 80s) split 7” 'That Was Then...’ (1986) with Electric Love Muffin, F.O.D. (Flag of Democracy), Ruin..., and Scram! I still have all the stickers and poster insert. Also check out the old ad for the 7” from MaximumRockNRoll -- only $3 shipping included! Those were the days.

Record Archives: Rare, hard-to-find 7” of “Bus 6” (1993) from Philly alt rock band Caterpillar featuring Mike Lenert (Lettuce Prey, Suffacox mach2). Great couple of songs, but I really love “Bus 6” - noisy but melodic guitars! Perfect 90s alternative/college rock or whatever the hell it’s called.

Our album-release show has been rescheduled to a different venue -- the Silk City Lounge at 5th and Spring Garden in Philly.

And now it's even earlier!
Doors open at 6:30 pm, and then Poppy takes the stage at 7 pm. We play the entire new album ("Miss Philadelphia") for you live immediately after Poppy, and then Kat Jagger closes the night, with all music at SCL ending by 9:30 pm.
