#Bobi #Wine’s #National #Unity #Platform #Set #To #Launch #UVote App With approximately 10 days left for Uganda to go the polls, Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform is set to introduce an application called UVote App that is believed to enable users report declaration results and incidents around their polling stations by uploading and sharing them onto the platform (based on some screenshots obtained from the socials). This announcement was made by the party’s spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi via his Twitter account. ‘UVote app, coming soon!’ – said the spokesperson in his tweet last evening. The party’s mouthpiece, however, did not share any hints on what exactly this mobile app does and how voters will benefit from it come 14th January 2021. This site’s efforts to get in touch with him for further information were unsuccessful at the time of this publication. However, in some of the tweet’s comments/replies, the site managed to obtain some screenshots that gave us a hint on what the UVote app does. uvote 3 Source: Twitter UVote App Features From the above screenshot, one could say the app enables one to record Declaration Results at a particular tally center and upload an image of the same results onto the platform. In the footer section of the screenshot, it also shares more information on how its users can use the app to report incidents that take place at tallying centers by uploading them in terms of photographic and video content. It is also not clear whether the application will be available for any voter or its limited to only the election observers and agents of the National Unity Platform. It is important to note that the Uvote app’s features explained above from the screenshot are speculations based on screenshot replies from the tweet and this site will confirm all the app’s features once it has been officially released.
