Hey everyone! Thanks for your support so far and bearing with our slow updates. Unfortunately, those updates are going to become even slower.

We need to go heads down and focus on development for the next few months. We recently learned a lot more about the gaming industry and how to give our project the best possible chance for success. There are certain steps that need to be taken at the right time and in the right order, otherwise, we risk working against ourselves and possibly setting our project up for failure.

What does that mean? It just means we need to focus on development and hold off on announcing the game name, revealing the logo, website, etc… until we’ve completed enough development to make exciting screenshots, an epic game trailer, and a playable demo for marketing and PR.

BUT! We do want to share at least some info for those who have been waiting patiently. We appreciate all of you and can’t wait to fully announce even more details!

Here are the bare minimum details we can share: We’re developing a stylized open world survival game with crafting and buildling that will feature both single player and online multiplayer PVE (player vs environment) and PVP (player vs environment and other players) modes. We plan to release on PC (Steam), XBOX, and PlayStation. We are still at least two years away from launch. Possibly three. And depending on a few factors, PVP may instead be released as the first free DLC.

That’s it for now. No more updates for a while as we hunker down and focus solely on game development! Thanks for your patience!

The artist working on our game logo is almost done. We've reached a final design that looks AMAZING! We're excited to share it once it's done, along with details on the project. All of that is coming soon along with more info on the launch of our YouTube channel!

We have found a talented artist online to work on our actual game logo! This is super exciting! If the work in his portfolio is any indicator (which, c'mon, how could it not be?) then this should be amazing. Once the artwork is finalized, we'll share it here along with a name reveal and real details about the project. Stay tuned and if you haven't already, share this group with all your friends and family members who like games! We appreciate all the support!

Happy Friday all! It's been another week. Today we released our new branding thanks to help from a talented artist we found online. We've spent another week focusing on character creation. We want to provide an enjoyable experience for those who like to fine-tune every detail possible about their character as well as those who like to tweak just one or two things and be done with it! Players will spend a lot of time with their characters in our game, so it really should be up to them how much effort goes into customizing their character! More details coming soon. Happy Friday! We're going to try and start posting updates every Friday moving forward. Being that we are still very early on in the development process, the updates will be light. But something is better than nothing, amiright?

This week we have been focusing on game asset creation. Because we are a small studio and because we don't want to spend 10 years making this game, we will be relying heavily on purchased assets (3d models, animations, sounds, 2d graphics, etc). But there will still be a lot of custom work we must do ourselves. That includes taking acquired assets and manipulating them to work with our project. That's exactly what we've been doing this past week. We've been focused on character creation, and that will remain our focus for the next several weeks. We have found some great 3D models and have been tweaking them to fit our needs!

We've also been working on modeling a 100% custom asset for a major part of our game! Stay tuned later today for a teaser image!

Lastly, earlier this week we have engaged with a new artist regarding our studio branding. We just haven't loved what we've been using up to this point. Sometimes, it's best to just hire a pro! New branding will roll out in the next week or two.

We've spent a lot of time over the past couple weeks documenting the details of the game. This was surprisingly difficult. It's easy to get excited about certain aspects of a game and expand on general ideas. We could talk ideas for hours on end. It's much more difficult making all the puzzle pieces fit together in such a way as to (1) make sense, (2) remain fun, and (3) be something we can actually accomplish! It's not a very exciting milestone, but it's a pretty big one.

We're working on an ambitious project... and we know that to be successful, we need to build a community around the project long before launch. We plan to do that mainly on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Our YouTube channel will focus on "making the game" content. We want to be transparent and document the process (warts and all) so others can see just what all goes into making a game, and maybe even get in on some of the decision making. More info on all that coming soon!

We are a long way off from having something worth sharing.... and having someone other than ourselves actually visit our various social media pages. But we have to start somewhere. Here's to those who read these early posts months or years down the line. You are awesome.😁
