As another year wraps up, I'm amazed at all the beautiful things I’ve seen and experienced this year, and I’m eternally grateful that life continues to give me more and more. Especially escapes to new places where not only do I get to learn something about a place, I learn something about myself too.

Viva Las Vegas... a mirage that lures with temptations, illusions, and promises. One we willfully and happily succumb to. It fails to quench our thirst, but at least we have the flashy lights to distract us.

I came across Aaron Jean on Instagram last year and I was so impressed! I immediately knew I wanted to have photos taken by him. I thought, “I better act fast before he gets too expensive!” I’d compare his work to a Hollywood portraitist, I think he’ll be there someday.

For our shoot, I came with a clear vision of what I wanted. I wanted to convey the coming together of the duality in my persona. I really wanted him to capture my femininity and masculinity and he did that perfectly. It was a great experience where I came with ideas and he contributed even more and well, you've seen the final product.

These are photos I'll be proud to show always. It was such a pleasure working with Aaron. If you don't follow him already, you can check his amazing work here, .

I look forward to working with him again, hopefully soon!

It's better late than never. In my life, I'm not afraid of acknowledging I've been a late bloomer in some aspects. There have been advantages here. I've been able to observe other people's journeys, discern the lessons and apply the learnings in my life. In other aspects, most, I've thrown caution to the wind. Allowing only my intuition to guide me and simply hoping for the best. This approach has allowed me to experience a range of situations many would be apprehensive to, they've been replete of gratification, learnings, growth and pain many times. They've been mystical to say the least. And now I'm ready to write about them and share them with you, yes, now. Because we only get one chance.

I'd like to introduce ”The Epilogue of a Wildflower” to you. A blog dedicated to the evolution of my life through my travels. Because every day that I have the blessing of waking and living, is another opportunity to modify, fill in the blanks of the novel that is my life. I'm inviting this journey to change me, and I hope it helps you change in some ways too.

The wildflower portion represents my essence and nature. I'm like a Poppy, wild and free; who chooses to grow ever and will never be cut or tamed. My petals will always display their intensity unapologetically and will relish in every passing wind.

Being bilingual, it's very important that I share my interpretation of how I experience the world in both English and Spanish. I won't be translating every experience, as there are some things that can't be translated and shouldn't. My aim is to portray the world precisely as I see it, authentically.

I’d like to give a special thanks to the master photographer Aaron Jean, who captured me. He was able to represent the duality in my personality beautiful and I'm so proud I had the opportunity to have collaborated with him. I’ll be sharing more on him and our shoot.

Lastly, I’d like to leave you with a little food for thought. “Live with no excuses and travel with no regrets.” -Oscar Wilde
