Turntablism speaks to the art and early roots of DJ-ing. The term was first heard from early 90s collectives who used techniques such as scratching & beat juggling to manipulate sounds on the decks.
Fueled by these skills early in his life, a 12-year old Roy De Borja picks up his first turntable and goes on to place at his first competition six years later — Redbull Threestyle. In the years to come, he would later succeed in winning a number of competitions all over the country. He, along with other DJs who have kept history alive, come together for a showcase: a journey into music through the eyes of a turntablist.
