Practice makes perfect. I’ve been slacking heavy on the djing lately, so I’ve made it a side quest to get back into some routine with practice. I don’t always do super long sets for practice. With everything else I’m trying to fit in each day, my goal is to mess with some new tracks for at least 30 min. Helps me get familiar with fresh tracks I’ve found and helps me get ideas for where to put them in sets. Drums and bass session! Drums are super important to a song. It’s where all the grooves and rhythm comes from. Doesn’t mean they have to be complicated. For this flip I mainly just needed hats to keep the pace and energy up.
