It’s no question is one of my favorite all time restaurants but my main move is to grab the “Features” Burger. It might be because I’ve had all the other Burgers so much. But honestly you can’t go wrong with any of the classics. This time I went with the featured Pizza Burger!

This spot is everything I love about food and beer. 22 rotating craft taps with killer options like Pliny the Elder and Dark Lord. The restaurant is 100% scratch and been featured for their sourdough pizza crust on Diner Drive In’s and Dives.

For National Cheese Burger Day I’m celebrating with the RH Burger at Restoration Hardware (couldn’t find their IG handle)
This bun is exceptional. The brioche bun from has that pillowy goodness to it. Soft, toasted and magical. Two custom blended, 1/4 pound beef patties from W.W. Johnson Meat Co., are juicy, cooked to a perfect medium temp and have that soft feel to them. Sharp American cheese drips over the sides of both patties and is delicious and addicting. Next, you have to decide if you are going to add the $7 Thick Cut Pork Belly Bacon. The answer is, YES!!! More bacon is always the answer. I love the small dice of the red onions, the thin sliced pickles and the tasty Dijonnaise on the top bun.
This burger was all the rage when Restoration Hardware opened in Edina in 2019 as it resembles the Double Cheeseburger at Au Cheval Chicago. It got a lot of criticism from the burger critics though do to its $22 base price tag. If you want to add bacon it becomes $29.
Here is what I will say. The burger is delicious and restaurant is exceptional. But is it worth the price tag? ABSOLUTELY! YOLO!!!

When I’m in the Richfield area a go to spot is always . And if you’re looking for some grub that will stick to your bones I’d highly suggest the Meatloaf Melt. I’m a sucker for good meatloaf, always have been. This bad boy has gooey American cheese, warm tomatoes, rich caramelized onions and mayo all on Sourdough. This is a must get! 🤤

One of my favorite stops at is for the huge selection of craft beer and exclusive state fair collab beer. But the also have possible one of the most addicting and delicious tasting food of the state fair as well. GARLIC FRIES! The scent of these garlic heavy fries start creeping up your nostrils as soon as you step foot on the ball park cafe grounds. The flavor is bursting with salty and garlicky goodness and it makes to keep eating them till the last fry is gone. This is one of the best sharable food items to grab while having a beer at .
And when your at don’t forget a cinnamon sugar rimmed glass of Mini Donut Beer! This beer has a cult following and this year is actually the 10 yr anniversary of the beer at the fair.

This was the #1 thing I wanted to try at the fair this year. I would say it was a let down overall taste wise. Still fun to grab for the shock factor of getting Lutefisk at the fair. You couldn’t really get any authentic taste from the Lutefisk cause it was drenched in hoisin sauce and the sticky bun was pretty dry and it taste like it came pre packed in a bag. Overall a fun a approachable way to have Lutefisk at the fair. I’m actually surprised this was the first time we have had it pop up as a fair item.

I was recently invited to play The Meadows at Mystic Lake. An award winning golf course owed by The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (Mystic Lake). The Meadows is truly an impressive course. It’s lush, challenging and incredibly landscaped. 80 bunkers, 13 holes incorporating water, and 20 fountains create a USGA-rated golfing experience that all golfers, expert or beginner, will enjoy. Besides the golf the amenities are also top-notch. They have a large pro shop selling all the big golf brands, a massive bar and restaurant to grab a bite after the round and great practice facilities.
It’s really impressive the amount of improvements they make to the course each year. This year they fully revamped 17 and added a huge bridge on 18 going back to the club house. It’s sick! The Meadows is hands down one of my favorite course to play in Minnesota. Go check it out!

A go to lunch spot for me is Smack Shack in Bloomington. It’s a nice spot located right off 494/France Ave. Living in Eden Prairie I can get bored with some of the offerings so just 5 mins down the road this is a fabulous option. The wings are some of my fav in town and the lobster Mac is seriously sinful. Monthly special are often my go to and this month was a fun one, a Buffalo Sunny Po’Boy 🤤

Some of the better wings I have had recently are the Moppo Wings at . If you chase good wings around the Twin Cities you likely remember these from recently closed Lone Spur. Lone Spur was a Tex-Mex restaurant in Hopkins and these dry rubs put them on the map.
I was surprised and happy to see these quietly pop up on the menu at Duke’s. I asked the staff and some of the employees how these popped up on the menu and no one know. Does anyone out there know the history here?

This month my wingman, @ralph_matthews & I teamed up with special guest & wing aficionado Stephanie Hansen of @stephaniesdish for a very classy #wingMN showcase at @montecarlomn. The Monte Carlo is a retro style supper club restaurant with booths & a copper-topped bar. Situated in the heart of @northloopminneapolis, Monte Carlo is the oldest continuously running restaurant in Minnesota. While this classy establishment is the perfect environment to enjoy a dry martini out of a V-Shaped glass. It’s also known for something even more special…the “Beijing Style” Wings.While it sounds odd for a supper club to offer an Asian inspired wing, it’s not. It totally works! This wing has had cult status for as long as I have chased wings. While the recipe is not public knowledge. I can tell you that some of the ingredients are cinnamon, red pepper flake, cumin, oregano, celery salt & onion powder. If you google “best wings in Minnesota” you will find The Monte Carlo on every list for years on end & rightfully so. These are little flavor bombs that come served piping hot and 100% consistent each and every time you order them. The crunch, the juicy tender meat, is so unique I don’t think it can be replicated. Since Stephanie is a Monte Carlo vet, she also made sure we tried all the classics! The Szechuan Green Beans were a classic yet spicy treat. The Fried Shrimp were huge and tasty dunked in cocktail sauce. The Fork & Knife Egg Salad was served open faced and had to be taken away from me or I might have hogged the whole plate. They also serve something that seems to be a lost art in the Twin Cities, a classic hamburger on a pillowy soft bun. A single patty, crusted perfectly. Delicious! There’s so many reasons to go check out The Monte Carlo. Great to dress up and go on a fancy date or to just swing in for a cocktail before a game. This Instagram journey has been a blast. I have made so many new friends and yesterday was no exception. Me and my good friend @mn_brr collaborated and golfed with @landof10kgolf and PGA Professional @darn01d at @chaskatowncourse. 🏌️♂️ I love to golf but these guys are surely on a different level then me when it comes to golfing. But I was able to show them a little something with an exceptional meal after our round at @oak19. @oak19 came highly recommended to me by my friend @doubletoecrow and he nailed it. 🎯 Oak19 overlooks the beautiful 18th hole ⛳️of the Chaska Town Course. Both the course and the restaurant are open to the public during golf season.
