In this episode of our By the Books Podcast, Sakline President, Lindsay Kline, is joined by Robert McBride of RAM CPA, PLLC to discuss the concept of switching from being taxed as a sole proprietorship to an S-corp for small business owners. Andy Christensen joins Lindsay Kline to discuss how to use solar energy as a tax savings strategy, both as the end user and as an investor.

If you’ve thought about solar panels for your home, you may have been in shock over the price. Yes, you can save money on your energy bill, but usually, the costs far outweigh the savings.

What if there was a way where you could get the IRS to pay for your solar panels?

Although it may seem too good to be true, it’s actually legit, legal, and easy for anyone to take advantage of. Ryan Roodenburg joined Sakline President Lindsay Kline to talk about integrity in sales.

Do you treat your customers how they want to be treated, or do you simply treat them like a dollar sign?

Lindsay shares her very sub-par experience with buying a new car. Yes, we’ve all come to dread the car buying experience, but why is that? Ryan shares why it doesn’t have to be that way, and how companies like Tesla stand out from the rest by changing the process.

They also talk about what businesses can do to make the customer feel special, and why the details matter in the sale process.

On the latest episode of the By the Books Podcast, Jeffrey Gonzales joins Sakline President Lindsay Kline to talk about what business partners should discuss with each other before entering into a business partnership.

Would you step into a marriage before having discussions about important topics like values and money?

It seems like a silly question, yet one that many business owners never consider before they enter into a business partnership. What many don’t realize is that entering into a business partnership is very similar to entering into a marriage, and many of these important discussions never happen until it’s much too late.

In this episode of By the Books, Lindsay is joined again by Jeffrey Gonzales, Business Development Manager at Payentry, to talk about all the things business owners need to consider before they enter into a partnership. They also talk about important questions and discussions you should have before you sign any papers.

It may seem like nothing could possibly go wrong, but just like any great relationship, there are always disagreements lurking around the corner. It’s important that you have as many hard discussions to mitigate those disagreements before they go beyond fixing.
