I want to be a stay at home mom, but I also want to work, but just not everyday, but I also want to help contribute financially and also be with my kids 24/7.. buttt I also need a break sometimes, but then miss having time for yourself 🌪️🥲😮‍💨

In my hosting era 🍂

Last night I hosted all these amazing girls and creators I’ve been able to meet because of social media. I am so grateful for the power of connection. When I started taking social media more serious 4 years ago I never knew where it would take me. There has been so much change within and out. There’s been so many lessons learned. Can’t wait to keep hosting and learning from one another . There’s been so many times where I’ve felt overwhelmed but in the end I truly believe in the power of sisterhood, friendship. ✨

In 2017, I had my first panic attack and had to be hospitalized for a week. I believe it was a mix of anxiety, seasonal depression, and postpartum depression. It was the middle of winter, and I was a first-time mom while Stirling was working extra hours. I felt like something bad was coming and told him I needed to visit my family for a bit. He made me aware that money was tight and that was out of the question. After that, I tried to hold in all the anguish, fear, stress, anxiety, and seasonal depression, and the next thing I knew, I was having trouble sleeping, breathing, and started hallucinating. I had unexplained pain in my lower back and felt cold and hot sensations all over. No matter what I did, nothing seemed to work, and then I was hospitalized.

Coming out of the hospital, I had a clear understanding that I needed to prioritize my mental health and set clear boundaries. Every winter after that has been a series of dealing with the PTSD symptoms and following through with doctors, medicine, vitamins, exercising, and so forth. Mental health is not something we should take lightly. In 2021, 22.8% of US adults experienced mental illness, which equates to 57.8 million people. Mental health conditions are more likely to be stigmatized than physical health conditions. Stigma can lead to discrimination, which can make mental illness worse. People still hold negative beliefs that cause those who need help to avoid care. Over 50% of individuals will experience a mental health disorder in their lifetime. Only 16.5% of individuals with depression worldwide seek help, and stigma around mental health is one of the primary reasons.

Let’s work together to bring awareness to mental health. We all have weaknesses and challenges to overcome. Let’s work to de stigmatize it and seek help when we need it. ✨

🌊 Esme's first swim lesson with was a splash-tastic success! 💦 She dove right in and instantly fell in love with the water. 🏊‍♀️ Her first day was all about learning the ins and outs of safe swimming, and let me tell you, this little fish has got some serious confidence! She's fearless, ready to jump in and start swimming like a pro. 💪 I couldn't be happier that she's taking these lessons now because safety around water is so important. 🙏 I'll make sure to keep you all in the loop as she continues to make waves in her lessons. Stay tuned for more updates! 🌟
