We would like to give our very own Taylor J. White her flowers for her performance as Amine in Edmond Dédé’s Opera “Morgiane”. She had a stellar performance of the abbreviated version of the Opera in New Orleans just last week. We are so excited to see Taylor continue to shine in performance in Washington D.C., Maryland, and New York next month. Keep doing amazing things. Toi toi toi!

We’re back with the Midtown Alliance at the Midtown Art Walk! The Imagination Art Walk is a family-friendly event featuring a live musical performance of Beautiful Blackbird Live and a storytime featuring Deja Holmes, Mike Anderson, Megan Williams from Artsy Blue, and many more!

Other activities include a creative play with the Museum of Design Atlanta , face painting, handmade pupusas for sale from Buenos Dias Cafe .atl, drinks from The Consulate for sale and the Kimpton Shane hotel will be available for free hot cider and a hotel room raffle!

Thanks for joining us at Reinvention: Tales of Downtown Atlanta - A Listening Party!

On April 10th, Good Soil presented our first performance of our Come Get This Joy series! We had over 40 people come through to check out our pop-up event featuring OKCELLO, Ashlee Haze, Theresa Tha Songbird and Jon Goode and an overall afternoon filled with uplifting music, poetry and community engagement. TODAY: The North Avenue MARTA Plaza Launch Party!🎉

Good Soil Production is partnering with Midtown Alliance to unveil the new North Avenue MARTA Station public venue designed by Carla Contreras.

Tonight’s show is hosted by Jayme Alilaw and Mark Kendall and features four fantastic acts! Learn more about the amazing artists you will get to experience during this evening of community celebration.

🎧DJ Opdiggy is a multi-genre DJ and electronic musician based in Atlanta. Performing at events ranging from the TAG conferences, the Coca-Cola Christmas party at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, and the Black Panther movie wrap party.

💃🏾Moksha Dance is a multi-cultural performing arts company founded by Proma Ray in 2012. A minority-based organization with dancers (past and present) from more than 10 countries, Moksha connects people through dance.

🎤 CC Sunchild is an American composer, orchestrator, producer, pianist, vocalist and actress. She is known for her electrifying and soulful performances and innovative expression through music composition and improvisation.

🥁 The Sabor Brass Band was founded in 2007 by Clarence “Tre” Levy, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It is composed mainly of HBCU graduates of Morehouse College and Southern University. The SBB has grown and evolved over the years, but has always stayed true to their “Creole Soul” roots.

Good Soil Production is partnering with Midtown Alliance to unveil the new North Avenue MARTA Station public venue. This includes a performance stage and mural by Atlanta-based American-Ecuadorian multidisciplinary artist, Carla Contreras. 

We’re featuring DJ Opdiggy and performances by Moksha Dance, CC Sunchild, and The Sabor Brass Band for an afternoon of community celebration. Hosted by Jayme Alilaw and Mark Kendall, come celebrate Atlanta’s new outdoor space with the Negril Food Truck and free mocktails for the first 100 people!

With only 8 days between now and our joyous event, let us introduce one of our four main acts: Ashlee Haze ✨

Ashlee Haze is a poet and spoken word artist from Atlanta by way of Chicago. Earning the nickname “Big 30” because of her consistency in getting a perfect score, she is one of the most accomplished poets in the sport of poetry slam. Ashlee was the first poet to appear on NPR’s Tiny Desk series. Ashlee is the host of Moderne Renaissance, an educational and cultural podcast for moderne thinkers. Her sophomore book “Smoke” was released April of 2020.
