Went out see my favorite band of all time the other night. Had a blast at the the warehouse in midtown Houston to see Black Veil Brides for their alongside ghost kid, creeper, and dark divine! Such a great lineup and such an amazing night!

Oliver’s first birthday!

So little update since I haven’t posted in awhile.

As November came to a close and my birthday approached I began the process of the biggest decision of the year and quite possibly my life.

I went to a recruiting office and started the long road to join the military and after paperwork issues and taking the asvab and spending my first night away from Oliver ever I finally went to the ceremony room on November 30th (my 21st birthday) and swore to serve to United States Army

Starting in January my 4 year journey (if not longer) begins and I’ll be away from my son, my family, everything I’ve ever known to begin this new chapter in life. This was a very hard decision because I don’t want to be away from Oliver but also this will create a better future for him in the long run.

It’s going to be a long and difficult journey but even though I’m nervous I’m also very excited! Until then I’m going to try and spend as much time with Oliver as I can.

Already missing the snow from the end of October in North Dakota but sooo glad to be getting back to Texas where it’s warmer!

Got done doing the and it was a bittersweet goodbye. It was exhausting work mentally but honestly I gotta say I’ll miss it. I hope to come back next year and work with these amazing people again but I hope I’ll be in the works of completing another goal of mine instead. Hope to have more great experiences like this in the future!
