This is not just a dream fulfilled but a God given promise kept

At the beginning of this year, my goal was to become a homeowner. I surrendered this desire to God & entrusted Him with that goal.

I started touring homes in April and I kept declaring Amos 9:13-15. That same week I put in an offer on what I felt was my dream home. That offer was declined. What could’ve been seen as a setback, was only a set up of God’s greater.

A few days later, I got a call from my realtor. The previous offer didn’t go through and they wanted to go with my offer. Talk about Amos 9:13-15 happening in real time!

On 5/2/24, I officially became a first time home owner. This major accomplishment couldn’t have happened without God’s mighty hand of favor covering me as well as my parent’s expertise, support and guidance.

Learning to live
In spite of not having it all together

How many of us (myself included) decide to wait to live?

There is so much freedom in deciding that you won’t wait until things get less stressful or until you accomplish a set goal to live.

To live life right here in the now in spite of not having it all is how you truly live an abundant life.

It’s like you’re saying yes I’m not where I want to be or yes my life doesn’t look like what I desire but I’m still going to live life while working towards my goals and desires.

Choose to live life abundantly by always finding joy in spite of how your life looks 🤍.

Always moving with love + pure intentions

[no matter the circumstances]

While I may be very single, I approach this day differently now. What used to be a bittersweet day is now a day that I don’t dread as much.

While I am grateful I am surrounded by so much love from my family + friends, it doesn’t take away my desire for a divine love. God has really been working on opening my heart to expect the very best from him when it comes to my love life. God has allowed me to wait with expectancy knowing that sweetest love that He specifically created for me is on the way.

I say all this to say, even if you’re single on Valentine’s Day be encouraged that God has not forgotten about you. Pray for God to open your heart to receive His love while you wait with expectation for the sweetest and most divine love created by Him specially for you! 💕

Letting go to receive more

When we think of letting go, we instantly think of loss. But in the biblical sense, letting go of our own control allows us to receive more. When we let go and surrender everything to God, that is when divine acceleration takes place. That is when God takes us from glory to glory, strength to strength and blessing to blessing.

This year let go of trying to control how 2024 will play out and lean into what God is doing. There is a fresh new anointing on this new year and if we don’t relinquish our own control, we may miss what God is trying to do in us and through us.

A WEEKEND IN CINCINNATI 🤍
This weekend was truly one for the books! My heart is always forever full whenever I go back home to Cincinnati and I’m surrounded by my loved ones. Some highlights from this eventful weekend:

+ Experienced a real fall lol Fall is my favorite season so I was so hyped to see the leaves changing colors.

+ Went to .convington for brunch with my parents.

+ Went to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Cincinnati & was able to catch up with my bestie,

+ It can’t get more Cincinnati than this picture. I was able to eat my favorite Cincinnati foods & catch up with my extended family.

+ Celebrated my Godson, Auggie turning 1! His 1st rodeo was a major hit!

+ Attended a gala celebrating the Urban League’s 75th anniversary with my mom. We had a TIME!

Currently in my jewelry era✨

I can’t believe I really used to only wear earrings but now I love adding accessories to elevate my fits. I’m always looking for staple jewlery pieces to add to my ever growing collection. When invited me to check out their store, I said say less!

I was able to get a cute gold necklace and add my August birthstone charm.

A few things that I love about this brand:

+ It’s woman owned (we could really end there lol)

+ Their jewelery is customizable. They have an array of beautiful charms that you can add to necklaces and bracelets. They also offer permanent bracelets.

+ Each month, the owner chooses an organization to donate to. Since October is domestic violence awareness month, a portion of the proceeds this month will go to The Turning Point. This organization assists in providing counseling and education to those affected by sexual violence.

While I love online shopping, I also love being able to run into a store and actually see the clothes before I purchase them.

Since I was in middle school, has been one of my favorite clothing stores. I know I can always find cute clothes, shoes and accessories at a reasonable price. It’s truly been my one stop shop whenever I need a stylish fit.

The truth is if you’re praying for bigger you have to actually believe for bigger.

It’s time to live like your prayers have already been answered.

It’s time to believe that God’s promises are already true.

When you’re believing in God for bigger, you might as well get your hopes up. God is not a God of empty promises. When God speaks, He truly speaks to perform.

AUGUST’S FINEST

Some highlights from my favorite month:

1. Turned 27 and celebrated it in tulum with my family
2. Started off 27 prioritizing rest God’s way. The older I become the more I realize that rest is a priority for me and not a luxury. After all even God RESTED on the 7th day
3. My bff, took me to to celebrate my birthday. The food was a 10/10! Such a cute spot!
4. Celebrated living in Dallas for 6 months! I have to give God ALL the glory and praise for this one!
5. Had a photoshoot for my September content with my favorite photographer aka my dad & explored downtown Dallas.
6. Attended my first content mixer hosted by my good sis, Karmy (). A TIME was truly had! I was able to connect with amazing Dallas content creators/creatives! It was also my first time having a studio photoshoot.

Here’s to August for being a month filled with ease, light, love + celebrations 🥂💚

How many times do we (myself include) count ourselves out of God’s blessings?
Sometimes we count ourselves out because we think we’re undeserving or thing that we are praying for seems impossible. I’m here to encourage you to not count yourself out of receiving God’s best!

There is so much that God wants to bless you with but if you’re constantly counting yourself out you won’t be in the headspace to receive His very best blessings.

Don’t count yourself out when God counts you in!

Heavy on creating a life that I don’t need to take a vacation from.
Vacations are amazing don’t get me wrong but sometimes you can’t always escape from your daily life.

It’s been one of my prioritizes this past year to create luxury experiences in my daily life. Everyday, I am actively choosing not to wait for vacation to enjoy my life .

A few ways I create luxury experiences in my daily life:

+ Going on hot girl walks
+ Dressing up on every occasion no matter big or small
+Buying flowers for myself every week
+ Having a set morning and night routine.
+ Showering with eucalyptus, which makes your showers feel like you’re at a spa
+Decorating my home like a 5 star hotel 10/10 would recommend creating luxury in the mundane

The truth is we can all live a limitless lifestyle with God on our side.

Living a limitless life means that you decide everyday to not get caught up on the what if’s or even what is but focus more on what God says is true.

Even if it’s never been done before or even if others doubt God will come through, be encouraged that there are no limits to blessings when you serve a limitless God.

Always fly
Bc it’s not just on me, it’s in me.

When we go through difficulties, we often look for help externally.

Not realizing that God has equipped us to handle difficulties internally.

I want to remind whoever is reading this post that you have what it takes + you have all that you need. Not because of your own might or power but because God’s power lives in you.

Let go of the belief that you think you can’t and walk towards the belief that God has already given you authority and power over your situation.

Strong yet sitting still + allowing God to fight all of my battles.

Independent yet welcoming help from others when need be.

Resilient yet taking a step back to rest and recharge without feeling guilty.

Empathetic yet casting the cares of others to God.

Devoted yet setting boundaries.

All of these, are qualities that have been used to describe women for years. While these qualities can be used as compliments when showing admiration for women, they also carry a lot of heavy assignments.

Now more than ever it is so important for us as women to prioritize our mental health and set + stick to boundaries. When we do this, it doesn’t take away from how phenomenal we are.

It actually adds to how truly phenomenal we are because we are able to recognize that we don’t have to be everything to everyone.

I am created by God + He calls me fearfully and wonderfully made.

I’m standing on that truth and choosing to believe what God says about me is true despite how I feel or what others think.

I’m no longer sleeping on my God given gifts and talents.

+Since God blessed me with gifts/talents and gave me a vision to implement my gifts, He will see it to completion.

+ Since God created me with this vision, He will create opportunities for that vision to come forth.

+ Since God created me in His image, I am fully equipped and lack nothing.

Since I have to work two weekends a month, I try to maximize my free weekends. This Saturday was no different bc ya girl was BUSY working on her fitness, running “errands”, treating herself & hanging out with friends. After doing all of this, I really feel like I need an extra few days to just relax. Who else feels like you need more days added to your weekend?

1. Making time to steward my current blessings well - If I’m being honest, I have been rushing so much that I haven’t made time to really keep a set schedule. So this month I’m slowing down to make sure that I stick to my set schedule when it comes to my fitness and wellness journey. After all, how can God bless me with more if I’m not being a good stewardess of what I have right now. 2. Moving with intention by slowing down to enjoy the present moment - I’ve realized that the reason my anxiety is on 10 sometimes is because my mind races to the future. So for this month and onward, I am slowing down and refusing to rush (physically and mentally). 3. Mediating on God’s word first thing in the morning + throughout the day - We may not know what lies in the day ahead but we serve a God who does. That’s exactly why it’s so important to spend time with God first thing in the morning to set the tone of your day. By God’s grace, I am declaring that March is the month of moving towards all God has called us to be.

Yesterday, I hosted my first Galentine’s Day Brunch and invited my friends who have made Dallas feel like home. I truly prayed for this and God showed up and showed out with allowing me to cross paths with such amazing women in such a short amount of time. I absolutely love hosting and to have all of my Dallas friends in one place yesterday made my heart so full! Last year around this time I posted a reel about trusting the process. I had just moved to Dallas and there was so much unknown ahead of me. Not only was I transitioning to a new city where I would have to create a new community but I was also transitioning into a new career as a Nurse Practitioner. Through all of this uncertainty, God made it so clear to me that I just needed to trust the process. After all it’s in the process, where you learn how to fully surrender and allow God to do what He does best. Now a year later, I’m still trusting God’s process but I’m also learning to enjoy His process for my life. I’m learning to still have joy no matter what the process might look like. I’m learning that even if I’m not where I want to be, God has me right where I need to be. This past weekend I hosted my first gathering in my home since I’ve moved to Dallas. I love everything Christmas so of course a Christmas party was my first gathering. The theme was a Cozy Night In and the attire was Christmas pj’s. It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t start prepping the day of lol idk it’s something about doing things last minute that allows me to do my best work.
