11/09/2023 1518 Hrs: I have spoke to Maryland State Police Princess Anne about this situation. The search is still continuing with MD transportation Authorities and all state agencies involved.
Update from Cambridge Police regarding missing person.

SILVER ALERT FOR MISSING PERSON *** UPDATE
*** – 10-25-23 – On 10-21-23, at approximately 11:23am, Maryland State Police (MSP) responded to the 5500 block of Mount Vernon Road, Mount Vernon, MD in reference to an abandoned vehicle that was stuck in the marsh. The vehicle was found to belong to the reported missing person, Yvon Camper. An extensive search was conducted by members of the Maryland State Police to include their aviation division, K9 Unit and dive teams. MSP was also assisted in the search by the Mount Vernon Fire Company. Currently the search has not been successful in locating Mr. Camper. Mr. Camper’s belongings, such as his identification and brown suit, were in the vehicle. Law Enforcement Officials are still searching for Mr. Camper and are asking for the assistance of the local communities with any information on Mr. Camper’s whereabouts. If you have seen or have any information, please contact the nearest Law Enforcement Agency.
***Original Post on 10-17-23*** On 10-16-23 at approximately 9pm, CPD Officers took a report for a Missing Person. The missing person was identified as Yvon Camper who is described as the following:
- 69-year-old African American Male
- 6 feet tall
- 130 pounds
- White hair
- Brown Eyes
Camper is reported to suffer from severe Dementia. Camper was last observed on 10-15-23 at approximately 5pm in the 400 block of Leonard’s Lane. Family members and Law Enforcement have attempted to contact Camper via his cell phone, which is currently off. The last location of the cell phone was plotted in the Princess Anne, MD area on 10-16-23 at approximately 12:48am. Camper was last observed wearing a brown suit and maybe operating a black 2015 Infinity displaying MD registration 6DP3312.
Camper has been entered into a National Law Enforcement Database as being reported as Missing. CPD has also requested the assistance of the Maryland State Police to issue a Silver Alert for Camper. If you have seen or know the whereabouts of Camper, please contact the nearest Law Enforcement Agency.
