A little over five years ago, Deathspell Omega returned from Brittany after recording “The Furnaces of Palingenesia”.
Afterwards, the band started rehearsing to prepare for a series of concerts. Line-up complications eventually doomed the attempt at performing this particular album live.
The following video of the song “The Fires of Frustration” is an internal working document – the kind produced when musicians are scattered across a continent. The recording device was a smartphone.
While the idea of concerts for “Furnaces…” is now water under the bridge, we can at least divulge a fraction of what we were working on. The performance itself reflects the early phase of a series of rehearsals and, as such, is not flawless.

We are proud to present a project that has been in the works for a year, a collaboration with Valnoir (Metastazis) and Le 7e Oeil. This work portrays the discography of Deathspell Omega, from “Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice” to the present.
There is a traditional black ink print edition – details of which can be viewed on noevdia.com – as well as an edition made with invisible ink. The peculiarity of the latter is that it becomes visible only when exposed to the risk of destruction, through fire or any other extremely high-temperature sources above 115°C. This unique feature ensures that each print, once revealed, is truly one of a kind.
Both editions are printed on 240gsm Arches paper and are limited to 25 copies. They are available now via NoEvDia’s webshop exclusively.

Pre-orders are now live at www.noevdia.com.
The inimitable Funeral Mist – one of the most iconic bands on the NoEvDia roster – has delivered unto us “Deiform”. Seven musical pieces contemplating the nature of divinity and mortal existence through the fiery lens of black metal.
As did the three past albums, “Deiform” exhibits a completely different approach to sound production compared to its predecessor. Nevertheless, from the first song to the last, the source of this multi-layered madness is unmistakable; all the classic Funeral Mist characteristics are present. Ambitious interludes which are impressive compositions in their own right. Innovative use of various samples which become a living, breathing part of the music. And frenzied oration delivered by what many believe to be the best and most versatile vocalist in black metal. All culminating in spiritual violence in its crudest form.
“Deiform” is a holistic experience, in the sense that music, art, and photography – all deriving from the project’s mastermind, D. Rostén – is connected, and thereby best experienced in unison. CD and LP now available from the NoEvDia webshop; see profile for direct link.
