It's that time of year again! Give the plow plenty of room and don't be in a hurry to pass them.

A storm is expected to impact NYS over the next few days, bringing rain to many areas and potentially snow to the Catskills Region and higher elevations. NYSDOT crews are prepared and ready to respond to keep roads safe. 🌨️

This winter, as conditions change, remember:
✅ Drive for the weather—slow down and increase following distance.
✅ Don’t Crowd the Plow—give our crews the space they need to work safely.

We are in the cold weather season, which means it’s prime time for chimneys to be running and if you haven’t had the correct maintenance or any maintenance done, and cleaned properly you are at risk of having chimney fire.

Please be smart and follow all of the safety precautions to prevent a chimney fire!
