Jesus commands that we reflect His light, meeting those who need the hope of Christ right where they are. When we do, we will experience immense joy as we lead others to Him. Inviting God to use our lives to love others is the first step.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6
Have you ever heard the question: "Is it pain or irritation?"
This qualifying process can help me to evaluate what I am experiencing, get my bearings, and clarify my vision for what I should do to alleviate any pain or pressure. Further, I can also consider whether an experience is an inconvenience or an endurance task. You know, temporary moments or growth opportunity that can refine me into more of His image? Aaarrrrrgh! I do not like it but God's Word has never promised ease here on earth. Instead, there is much heartache, pain, discomfort, loss, death, irritation, inconvenience, and endurance. However, the Lord makes a way for us to be united with Christ and to grow in our attitudes and expressions, if I will trust Him. I can become more loving, compassionate, generous, and tolerant - all in the midst of my own experiences. I believe this may be why I am here. 🤔

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28
“All things” includes my mistakes, my imperfect efforts, and my proceeding forward when I am not sure what to do. God has me and my every situation. Remember, though, that before God can work in all things I have to give Him something to work with, which means not letting fear stop me from even trying.
Usually, when I try to get everything right, I become paralyzed by fear. Then, I live in a state of self-criticism. I worry about every detail and carry the weight of the outcome on my shoulders. But God never asks this of me. He asks me to step up to the circumstance in His holy boldness. To get my hands dirty as I listen for His wisdom. To do my best and trust that He can, and will, take care of the rest. I do not have to get everything right because I serve a God who makes everything right in the end.
