We like to highlight our deputies when we receive messages from the public.

From KFB:
"I would like to give a grateful shout out to Officer Poindexter! He stopped when my husband's truck ended up spinning into the median on 25E. He then came back 30 minutes later....just as he said he would....to stop traffic for my husband to pull the truck out of the median! This was the kindest Officer I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! I want to thank him for his kindness and I wanted you all to know what an extraordinary Officer you have on your team!!!"

Let’s talk roundabout! The city of Middlesboro is getting one, because the federal government determined ( according to crash data) that Wi******er and 30th which is a state highway controlled by the state, was a high crash area according to data they have.

Do we need one? Probably not, but we’re going to get one anyway. There is no city money used, it is federal safety money, and they have the say.

Does anyone else close have one? London Kentucky has one and it is working beautifully according to city officials. They even have semi trucks on theirs. There might be some early growing pains, but we must give it a chance, or we can always take an alternate route.
