The Georgia boy is back home!

Chase said the team is anticipating the track to run like a super speedway and have looked at their Daytona performance in preparation for this race.

Atlanta has repaved and reconfigured the track including increased banking with a widened front stretch. Essentially a double yellow line rule will be in effect, however the line is red and white.

Practice is scheduled for tomorrow night however the weather is not looking great at the moment. A lot to learn on this new track, should be a fun race. Let’s go get that win 💪

On today’s Instagram Live, Chase talked with about the upcoming race at his home track, Georgia sports, and his thoughts on the next Gen car so far this year!

He made some interesting points on how the team is approaching the reconfigured Atlanta Motor Speedway and the road course at COTA.

Chase just missed the cutoff line and did not advance to the final round of qualifying for the first time this year. The car looked tighter than expected on his qualifying run but he was 8th fastest in practice.

It will be interesting to see how these new cars handle going down to the apron through the dogleg on restarts. It should be a fun race!

A top 10 after Chase spent a lot this race holding on with a struggling car.

He was able to get to the front at times but the car would consistently fall off as the runs went on. In Stage 3 the adjustments made him drop back completely out of the top 15.

Still a decent points day though, with a P5 and P2 in the first two stages, Also a great performance by the pit crew all day and got him back up into the top 10 at the end.

Chase made it to the final round of qualifying for the second week in a row and gets a top 10 start!

He said he doesn’t really know what he wants with the car yet and is still trying to learn more about the car at this track.

Rick Hendrick had a meeting with all 4 teams to discuss his expectations for the team and to move on from what took place last weekend. There were no milk and cookies in this one.

Looks like another fast NAPA Chevy, let’s go get it done!

We’re onto the west coast swing starting with Fontana for the first race there in 2 years. Plans for the 2.0 mile speedway to become a 0.5 mile short track are now TBD as NASCAR is reconsidering the timeline per Bob Pockrass.

Chase has the best average finish of all active drivers here, although only in 5 career races (3 top 10s). In fact, he and Kyle Busch are the only two with an average inside the top 10.

Chase is currently the highest Chevy in points, swipe to see the standings.

Teams will get only a 15 minute practice session before qualifying at 11:30 AM ET on Saturday. Let’s go get it Chase!

A top 10 after an up and down day for Chase.

Chase managed to stay out of all wrecks outside of one with 10 to go when he spun while avoiding cars. He kept it off the wall and kept himself in contention leading up to the end of the race.

He avoided the wreck early on to finish 9th in stage 1. He stalled the car at one point in stage 2 leaving the pit box and had to re-fire, causing him to lose the draft entirely but stayed on the lead lap. For the record, Larson also stalled exiting the pits.

Overall the team showed some good fight and we come away with a top 10.

Duel 1 is complete, Chase finishes 5th after pit strategy gave the Ford group the top 4 spots.

The number 9 team did have a great pit stop and got the car out ahead of Kyle Larson to gain a spot. Chase earned 6 points for his finish.

Everything went well out there and this team is ready to go for the 500! Let’s get it gone 🙌

Safe to say Hendrick has figured out this NextGen car!

We showed a ton of speed with all 4 teammates topping the charts in qualifying round 1.

Teams will likely play it safe in the Duels as there are no backup cars for the weekend. Although if one is needed it can be brought down from the shop in Charlotte.

Duel 1 will take place at 7 pm ET on FS1 followed by Duel 2 around 8:45. See my last post for the rest of this week’s schedule.

It’s RACE WEEK! 🙌

Chase will be running in the new Napa Auto Parts Chevrolet as Clash will get underway on Sunday night at 6 pm ET. Heat races that will set the lineup for the Clash begin at at 3 pm ET.

Qualifying for these heat races will be held on Saturday night, 8:30 pm ET on FS1. They will be single car qualifying runs. Practice for the event is Saturday at 12:30-2:30 pm ET on FS2.

Shaping up to be an unpredictable weekend. How do you think the Clash will play out??

Happy New Year! 🥳 Here’s to a great 2022, get ready to watch Chase become a two-time champ!

We have some goals for the next year and the upcoming season.

There has been a lot of hate directed towards Chase and his fans this past year. Our fan base will always be the greatest and most passionate so we will continue to defend him. He deserves none of the disrespect he gets but let’s try to not fight fire with fire. Approach things like Chase would with class and respect.

When the Harvick’s and Hamlin’s of the world come at you, you can wish them a Happy Christmas and go about your day. Let’s change the narrative to show who the toxic fans really are!

Gave it everything he had.

Congrats to Larson he deserved this championship. His pit crew got him out first on the last stop and that would be the difference. His right rear quarter panel was bent outwards after some contact with Chase and that gave him an aero advantage as well.

Chase was the last car off pit road of the champ 4 for the final caution after what was a solid day from the crew. Drivers had a strength in either the short run or the long run and Chase’s excelled more so on the short. When he couldn’t get track position there was no shot at catching the leaders on a green flag run.

Proud of this team and everything they accomplished this year. They fought hard all season and will be back next year with more to prove.

We are racing for a championship 🏆🏆

Chase had a dominant car sweeping the first two stages and leading 289 laps on the day. The car began to fall off late and did not have the handling it had earlier in the race.

Chase was battling hard with a desperate Brad Keselowski and the two get together, causing him to spin out. That ended any chances for a win.

This one doesn’t matter and the team has been hot at the right time just like last year. Time to repeat in Phoenix!!

Chase guarantees himself a spot in the final 4 with a finish of 15th or better (this is even with no stage points). He needs 22 points to advance, so if he accumulates points in the first two stages this required finish will drop closer to 20th.

If it came to a tie, Chase holds the tiebreaker over every other driver fighting for the last 3 spots as he has the higher finish in this round with his 2nd place last week.

He’s in a good spot but anything can happen as we saw with Ryan Blaney last week. Let’s go get it done like we did one year ago!

Pushed it hard there at the end and comes up just short.

Lots of stage points today and will now enter the final race before the championship in 2nd at +33 above the cut line!

Had one of the fastest cars on the track but couldn’t get the win in the end. Similar to what has happened all year.

He had trouble on the restart with 40 to go and that made him fall from 1st to 7th but he worked his way back up putting down fast times to come home th.

This team looks like it’s peaking at the right time and this will carry momentum into the final 2 races.

Chase’s starting spot of 5th is also what his average finish has been in the last six races here at Kansas.

He has a win here in 2018 and will be more than capable of a solid finish as long as the team runs a complete race and avoids mistakes that could knock out a race winning car, something that has been a lot to ask for this year.

Chase is currently 5th in the standings at -8 below the cut line but as we’ve seen, there can be big points swings in these races and a win can lock you into Phoenix. Let’s go get it done!

A real grind to get there but Chase comes home with a top 10.

He had a fast car from the start until he was forced to pit under green during stage 2 and lost all the momentum. Chase diagnosed a tire vibration and did a great job to get it to pit road just as the tire was going down.

He managed to get on the lead lap and work his way back into the top 10 but struggled to get much of anything going after restarts. Lots of issues on this car though he did a good job to get what he could.

He is now 5th in the playoff standings, -8 below the cut line heading into Kansas!

Chase will begin the round of 8 at Texas in the Chevy, -2 points below the cut line with Ryan Blaney holding the 4th spot.

Chase hasn’t been able to record a top 10 finish in his last 4 races here however he did have the fastest lap of the race back in June.

I know this team can put together another run at making the final 4 in Phoenix. It all starts Sunday!

Kevin Harvick tried, but failed to end Chase’s season. Chase will advance!

The best part is Chase was faster than him even after the wreck and he then went and wrecked himself 😭 Karma. Harvick thoroughly embarrassed himself today.

I didn’t understand the move in the first place, it can’t be payback if they were already even? Harvick was the original aggressor at Bristol, Harvick cost Chase a win and Chase cost him a win. Yet he chose to continue it on, call Chase a 9 year old, intentionally wreck him, try to end his entire season. I don’t think Chase will ever get out of his head 🤷🏼‍♂️

Chase will be in the round of 8 and is 6th in the standings heading into Texas!
