Done! The denouement. It is one day late. I apologize for that. Just putting the finishing touches on it to make it perfect. Episode 17, the final episode, will drop tonight at 10pm. Episode 16 just dropped! The climactic episode. James, Sharon, Dr Hodges, and Richard Bassett are reunited on the roof of the warehouse. As Bassett's final gambit to escape justice ignites, an explosion sends a sniper's bullet off its intended course.

The denouement, episode 17, will drop next Tuesday with a special message from the author.

Episode 12 dropped last night! The end of Act II. All the pieces are in place. Check out Nichalia Schwartz as Mary Hodges. Superb performance! As well as Michael Floyd as Richard Bassett, Scott Thomas as Dr. Hodges, and Erin Lin as Dr. Zhang.

We will be on a 2 week hiatus, returning October 15th for an explosive ending. See you then!

I haven't posted an update on the episode release schedule so this should make up for it.

We were back on August 20th with episode 6 featuring Aaron Urist as Father Quigley and Levi Squier as Father Daniels. Episode 7 dropped August 27th, featuring our roundtable of reporters with Chloe Bundt as Mindy, Maxwell Root as Trent, Collin Hughes as Quint, Michael Reid as Ned Baker, and Ken Gould as James Dysart.

A few notes to add. The Chicago Tribune newsroom was actually located in the Tribune Tower when I wrote the book. Some as***le bought the Tribune and is tearing it apart brick by brick. The Chicago Tribune moved out of the Tribune Tower in June 2018 into the Freedom Center, where they shared the facilities with the printing presses, which also prints the Sun-Times and The NewYork Times as well as other publications. Now the Freedom Center is being sold off to become a casino. The printing facilities are moving to Shaumburg, Illinois. Who knows what's happening to Tribune newsroom, which is being pared down to nothing. Sad what's happening to journalism in this country.

As some of you may know, I went into the hospital last year for blood clots, and my kidneys shut down. I'm doing much better now and have been off dialysis for 5 months now. The whole time I was in the hospital, all I could think about was this project and how I might be able to finish it. It was all that mattered to me. One could argue that I have my priorities seriously out of whack, and that's probably true. But after 3 1/2 years and many delays, I am proud to announce the adaptation of my book as an audiodrama, available wherever you get your podcasts. It is available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts as well as other platforms.

It stars a great many voice actors, all of whom it has been one of the great pleasures of my life to work with. It is a science thrill with a touch of mystery and horror thrown just to make it interesting. The prologue dropped on July 2nd. Episode 7 will drop tomorrow at 10pm. New episodes every Tuesday through November. It is produced through my company Naked Podium.

Episode 2 introduced Collin Hughes as Dr. Gary Hume and Brendan Cescon as the Old Blind Man. James and Sharon find themselves surrounded by rats, discover labs where they shouldn't be, and are chased by Northwestern students. Episode 3 takes us to a bar, where we learn more about our protagonist and more about Sharon's father. James has an idea, which leads us to a warehouse and some nasty dogs (as opposed to the nice one we met earlier.) Don't miss Episode 5, the clomax of Act I next Tuesday, August 6th!
