"Before the bushmeat catches the hunter"
1. The growing rate of political defamations and litigations in Kwara State can not be unconnected with the increase in the political consciousness among the Youth in the state while many Youth sees the 2023 general election as a window to showcase themselves and respective potentials. While it is not a crime for a vibrant youth to showcase his/her potential through writtings and publications, it is imperative to note that every action and inaction has it associated consequences.
2. Regrettably, the teaming Youth in the state who are suppose to utilise the current political division as an opportunity to learn, regrouped and equipped themselves ahead of the future election are busy on social media with fabrication of fallacy and propaganda as a mere "Data-boy" just to make a point whether geniune or counterfeit forgetting that every freedom of expression has it terms and conditions.
3. Being one of the reputable active Youth that fought against Saraki dynasty even before Otoge struggle in 2019, i understood how painful it is to be in the opposition side and the aggression encompasses in castigating the ruling party at all cost. Notwithstanding, our status as opposition is never a ticket to bridge the provision of the law!
4. To my political and ruling party (APC), it is incumbent to know that our party and her political officers are more or less a dumbing site that can not be restricted from recieving diferrent kind of garbages from end users. Kwara APC should equally note that our continous litigations against the opposition in the state is directly an opportunity to portray our party to be hostile and "Lagateric" (A lagata-like disposition in Saworo-ide) while this may attract an unnecessary sympathy for opposition from uninformed masses in the state.
5. The fact still remain that no single tenure in Kwara State has ever performed wonderfully well like the present administration of APC both our Governor, Senators, Assembly members even to the political appointees but the criticism from the opposition should not be less anticipated because no government can do it all. Also, we should be mindful of the fact that oppositions are used to wine and dime with Kwara resources for the past 16years while being an opposition now is like subjecting them to indefinite hunger strike.
6. To my amiable Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Alanu Mekunu, i wish to encourage you to borrow some leafs from President Mohammadu Buhari who despite all evidences against Ayo Fayose claiming and declaring him dead among host of other fallacies against him, PMB decided to focus more on delivery of Good governance than allowing oppositions propaganda to subsumed his passion for infrastructural developments and fighting against poverty. Your Excellency sir, kwara state and kwarans will be highly shortchanged if you can not continue beyond 2023!!!
Please, let the opposition enjoy their right of criticism while the ruling party enjoy our right of delivery good governance without recourse to heresies.
🙏
