A magnificent performance of Bill Bachman's Tri-Tip by Cristian Rodriguez on snare and Kevin Hanrahan on Bass Drum.

From Bill Bachman:
"Tri-Tip" is my debut writing for rope drums. This duet for snare drum and bass drum is dedicated to The Old Guard Fife and Drum drumline and Mark Reilly. There is something regal and noble about the sound, power and history behind these drums and the style of playing. This challenging duet incorporates much of my DCI drumming vocabulary.. I hope you enjoy the piece and accept my influence as one who grew up playing "rod drums" (as Dave Loyal puts it).
Our latest book release, "Best Out of Five" by Phil Andrews is out and available in out website!
https://www.pulsamusica.com/book-store/best-out-of-five-ebook.html
This snare drum/bass drum duet written by DCI/Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps snare drummer Phil Andrews is inspired by works such as “Joe 90” and “Generation.” Phil set out to meld together “more contemporary groupings of the 26 traditional rudiments” in a duet setting.

Elements of Scottish, early American (ancient), and Swiss drumming are interwoven throughout the solo. In addition to these elements, Scott pays tribute to many influential drummers including John Wooton, Jim Clark, Scott Mitchell, Mark Reilly, and many others.
