GREEN BANANA PORRIDGE

BANANA PORRIDGE RECIPE:
5 green bananas or burro bananas
4 cups water
2-3 cups plant based milk or sweetened condensed milk
2 cinnamon sticks or grounded cinnamon
1 vanilla bean or 1tsp vanilla
1 tsp mixed essence
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Pinch salt
Peel and cut green bananas in quarters and place in blender with 4 cups water. Blend on high until smooth about one minute. Pour the banana purée in a pot. On medium heat and your whole cinnamon stick and vanilla bean pod sliced in half and scraped. (Vanilla extract and cinnamon powder works well too if whole cinnamon stick and vanilla beans are unavailable). Stir mixture for about 10 minutes stirring continuously. This is very important. Stirring continuously preventing lumps and sticking to the bottom of the pot. After about 10 minutes your banana mixture should start to thicken naturally very rapidly. Stir in milk of choice (I used almond milk) continuously mix with a whisk until mixture becomes less thick. I use about 2-3 cups for desired thickness. Some who prefer a little thicker add less milk. Sprinkle in your mixed essence, salt and nutmeg. Authentic Caribbean recipe will add sweetened condensed milk now for desired sweetness. Remove from heat. Before serving remove cinnamon stick and vanilla bean pod. Serve hot. Enjoy.

Place in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp corn starch. Coat mushrooms.Heat a large skillet with grape seed oil. Add Oyster mushrooms to hot skillet. Brown mushrooms on both sides as much as possible, until they’re almost crispy. Remove skillet from heat. Add desired amount of bbq sauce. Wait 3-5 minutes. VEGAN PARMESAN ACORN SQUASH
Take advantage of squash season.
There’s an abundance of squash to choose from.
This is the perfect side. Amaze you guests with this beautiful and tasty recipe.
Ingredients:
1 acorn squash
Vegan Parmesan cheese
Garlic powder
Salt
Black pepper
Olive oil
Wash and dry your acorn squash.
Cut your squash in half. Horizontally.
Remove the seeds.
Cut 1 half into slices 1/4 inch or so.
Do the same to the other half.
Place all the pieces in a bowl and season with your ingredients except the Parmesan cheese.
On a cookie sheet lay parchment paper. Place the acorn squash slices on the sheet.
Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes on 400 degrees.
Serve with your favorite main dish. 😊
