Hey friends, it's Nicole with Friday's top-of-the-hour recipe. This week we did Crockpot Beef Tips and Noodles.

Ingredients
1lb stew meat, 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix, 1 packet brown gravy mix, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup (save the empty can), 1 small can of mushrooms, 1 can full of beef broth (this is where you use the empty cream of mushroom can), and a pack of egg noodles.

Directions
Put all ingredients EXCEPT noodles into the crock pot and mix until well combined. Cook on low for 8 hours. Once it's time to serve, cook the noodles according to the package and incorporate them into the crockpot. Serve hot.

If you have variations of this recipe or if you try it yourself, let us know what you think!

Graham crackers, gingersnap cookies, or fruit to serve with

Hey neighbors, Nicole here with your top-of-the-hour recipe Steak and Potato Packets - on the grill! (serves 8)
Ingredients
4lb steaks, cubed (ribeye, sirloin, or flat iron is best)
olive oil as needed
2 small onions sliced
4 large russet potatoes diced (I prefer Yukon/gold)
4 cloves of garlic minced
2 sticks of salted butter
salt and pepper to taste
(optional) your favorite steak seasoning

Directions
preheat your grill to medium-high heat
Tear off 8 large square sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil, drizzle each with olive oil, put 1 tablespoon of butter on each foil sheet, add potatoes evenly divided between foil sheets, sprinkle minced garlic and diced onion over the potatoes, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Drizzle a little more olive oil over the mix and put the steak pieces on top. Season with steak seasoning and/or salt and pepper to taste, top with a little more olive oil and a pat of butter (to keep your steak from drying out you can put a small ice cube on top of it in the packet, I'm lazy so I don't do this, the butter and olive oil seem to do the trick). Fold each up into a little packet that keeps the butter and oil inside the packets while cooking. Grill packets for 35-45 minutes on medium-high (should* depending on the cut of steak you used to leave the steak medium-well). Check those bad boys periodically if you're like me and want my steak medium-rare, you might need to pull them earlier/later if you prefer more done. Make sure the potatoes are tender and serve!

Let us know if you give this a try and what you thought - and share any tips?
