To avoid rush at vaccination centres, Corporator Chandravati More opened a new vaccination centre at Powai and Mayor Kishori Pednekar inaugurated the place. A police constable was beaten up by 3 BJP party workers. The incident took place on 11/01/2021 when the police constable was escorting the party workers to the police station in an auto. On 10 January 2021, Ram Mandir Nidhi Samarpan Samiti organized a 'Cycle Rally' to raise funds for the construction of Ram Mandir Temple.
Many youngsters from around the city participated in the rally. The main objective of the rally was to provide helping hands to raise funds for the construction of the holy place.

The Powai Fest is an annual fundraiser event that hosts events related to art, music, food & culture. This fest is organized by the Rotary Club of Bombay Powai (RCBP) from the month of December to February. The focus of Powai Fest is to bring people together, spread joy and thereby raise funds for Rotary service projects for the underprivileged.
