RIS holds School Sports Club Meet 2023

Rosario Integrated School, High School Department, headed by the school principal Dr. Alicia F. Aprecio, with the Head Teacher III of the MAPEH Department, Dr. Romulo Casilla, Master Teacher I of MAPEH, Mr. Benjamin Toquero, all MAPEH Teachers conducted the School Sports Club Meet for the S.Y 2023-2024 on October 11, 2023 with the theme “Building Excellence and Progress through Sports and Socio-Cultural Competitions.

The guest speaker of the event was Dr. Domingo Laud, OIC Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of the Division of La Union, represented by Dr. Rominel Sobremonte, Education Program Supervisor.

Learners joined in the different sports category with their teacher-coaches following their team colors: red, blue, green and yellow. There was also the so called “Bench Yell Competition” which is one the highlights of the day.

Quario bags 1st Place in the Kurditan Kabataan Script Writing Contest

Krisha Andrea Quario of Grade 9 STE, won 1st place during the Kurditan Kabataan One Act Play Script Writing Contest- Iloco Cluster Elimination held at Rosario Integrated School on September 8,2023.

She said, "masaya po ako pero at the same time pressured na kinakabahan po for the upcoming provincial contest".

RISeans participate in Q3 Nationwide Earthquake Drill

Rosario Integrated School actively joined the Quarter 3, Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on September 7, 2023 facilitated by the National Disaster Risk and Reduction Management (NDRRMC), Bureau of Fire Protection, PNP and LGU which aimed to educate and prepare the learners with proper ways and management for any possible occurence of earthquake.

RIS celebrates Buwan ng Wika 2023

The Filipino Department, headed by the Head Teacher III, Mrs. Armi Valdez, together with the support and guidance of the school principal Dr. Alicia, F. Aprecio, conducted a program in celebration for the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2023 with the theme “Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika: Wika ng Kapayapaan, Seguridad, at Ingklusibong Pagpapatupad ng Katarungang Panlipunan” on August 31,2023.

The "panauhing pandangal" of the day was Dr. Luisito Libatique, PSDS-Agoo District. He shared a story that emphasizes the importance of language in understanding one's culture. He also said "Huwag hayaan ang mga batang kutyain nila ang ibang wika ng kanilang kapwa, bagkos ay turuan silang galangin ang isat' isa."

The said activity showcased the different cultures through the different “pagtatanghal”, coming from the selected IP learners, ALIVE and Kindergartens.

One of the highlights of the event is the search for the best singers for “SONATA ILOCO”. It is divided into 3 categories: teachers, Junior High School and Senior High School learners.

RIS holds Brigada Eskwela 2023 Kick-Off

Rosario Integrated School conducted Brigada Eskwela 2023 Kick-Off, headed by Dr. Alicia F. Aprecio,Principal IV, also the Brigada Coordinators, Jessie Andrada Head Teacher III, Ernani Florendo of Elem, Ronald Duran of SHS and joined by all the teaching and non-teaching staffs, PTA Officers, Stakeholders, SSG Officers and the PNP for the formal opening of the 1 week Brigada Eskwela starting from August 14-18, 2023.

Its top 3 priorities are the following:
1. Installation of Recording and studio room
2. Installation of Rain Catcher
3. Repainting of School Classrooms and other school facilities

Dr. Alicia F. Aprecio said, "daytoy ti panawen nga intayo ipakita ti panagkakaysa para ti napintas nga pagadalan ken masakbayan".

Geneta and Laguatan join Asean Month 2021

Christian Ervhen Laguatan, who competed in the SHS Poster Making category and Althea Jane Geneta, who competed in the Online Asean Quiz Bee for JHS, represented the Rosario Cluster in the recently concluded Division Virtual Culminating Activities in connection with the observance of the ASEAN Month and National Heroes’ Day on August 31, 2021.

Rosario Cluster placed 8th out of 20 different schools in the Division of La Union. Behind this success were the brilliant minds of their mentors and coaches in RIS headed by the ever-Dynamic School Principal, Dr. Alicia F. Aprecio, the Head Teacher III of Araling Panlipunan: Mr.Hector Batallang, Mrs. Imelda Valdez, Master Teacher II of Araling Panlipunan and Mr. Benjie Gagahina, Teacher I.

Indeed, Rosario Integrated School aims for excellence and quality in terms of honing the talents and skills of the learners. Congratulations, RIS will always be proud of you.

RIS admin holds meeting for S.Y. 2021-2022

Rosario Integrated School Administrators gathered for a Meeting in preparation for the S.Y.2021-2022 on August 27, 2021 at the Rosario Integrated School Head Teachers Office.

The meeting was headed by the Active School Principal, Dr. Alicia F. Aprecio, as well as the OIC Assistant Principal of Elementary, Mr. Nelson Ladia; OIC Assistant Principal of SHS, Mr. Rosalio Valdez. With them, are the Brilliant Head Teachers of the different Departments: English- Mr. Jessie E. Andrada, Filipino- Mrs. Armi Valdez, Science- Mrs. Lorena Delizo, Math- Mr. Ariel Oropilla, AP- Mr. Hector Batallang, ESP- Mrs. Maricar Gonzaga, TLE- Mrs. Evelyn Villanueva, MAPEH- Dr. Romulo Casilla. And also with Mrs. Divina Calonge- Head of Accounting Office.

The agenda of their meeting were the following:
1.Review of the School Calendar for S.Y. 2021-2022 (based on the activities schedules per month)
2.Announcement of the National Virtual Inset (Aug.30,2021-Sept. 3, 2021)
3. Donations should be submitted and reported to the school administrators for proper acceptance and recognition.
4. Donation of RISEA to learners (Medical Kit and School Supplies for Approval)
5.Schedule of Earthquake Drill – (Sept.9, 2021 )
6.Preparing the printing, sorting and disinfection rooms.
7. Monitoring of teachers in the WFH schedules.
8.Monitoring of Online Classes.
9. Selection of Outstanding Teacher per Department (JHS), Strand (SHS) and Grade (Elem)
10. Different priority projects of the school.

The RIS Administrators carefully planned the essential needs for S.Y 2021-2022 for the benefit of the learners and teachers who will be facing another year of challenges in line with the new normal of education.

RIS braces for School Opening through Brigada Eskwela ‘21 Virtual Kick Off

Rosario Integrated School – as it prepares for the opening of classes on September 13, set off this school year’s Brigada Eskwela through a virtual kick off with the theme, “Bayanihan Para Sa Paaralan” held on August 17, 2021 with the leadership of the ever-dynamic principal, Dr. Alicia F. Aprecio, together with the collaborative efforts of the Brigada Coordinator and Technical Working Committee headed by Mr. Jessie E. Andrada.

Relative to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional brigada activities like physical cleaning, painting/repainting, and minor repairs are still not allowed. However, activities for Brigada Eskwela were reconfigured to cope with the challenges posed by COVID 19 with strict compliance with the Safety Health Protocols issued by the IATF.

The Brigada Eskwela highlights on Brigada Pagbasa in response to the Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa issued through DepEd Memorandum No. 173, s. 2019, the External Partnerships Service has committed to make every learner a reader by engaging partners and stakeholders to promote the culture of reading.
Moreover, Brigada Eskwela 2021 will focus on Home Learning Spaces. These aim to involve parents and partners to assist schools in promoting and establishing economical, creative, and functional learning spaces at home to foster academic ease.
